Great pie iron
The cast iron is significantly better than the aluminum pie iron we have. The cast iron is much easier to control the even distribution of heat. The wooden handles are sturdy easy to use. Will probably order a third pie iron.

Great for the outdoors
I gifted these to my son and his family. They loved them.

The two pieces are attached.
They work great. The product seems to be made well, I will likely have these for the rest of my life. The only thing to note is that where the two sides connect it is a permanent hinge. Ones I've had in the past will unhook from one another. It's real awkward to try to get your pie out when you're holding both ends with the hinge spread wide open with a hot-ass cast iron and a molten pie stuck to it and no extra hands to get it out because you have to hold it open so you start kinda just shaking it a little to get it out but it still won't release so you shake a little harder and it finally comes out but it lands on the edge of your plate and tumbles to the dirt below while your plate flips up and spills you beer. So, that's my only complaint, it's a two person job to get your food out because one person will be holding both handles since it's all one piece. Good luck out there y'all!

Barely seasoned
They say it comes preseasoned but it's barely seasoned. A light wash while camping removed the seasoning and it started to rust. Be sure to season it well before using it.

It’s tiny, way, way smaller than a piece of bread
If you’re trying to use this to make sandwiches, look elsewhere this thing is tiny inside.
