Quirky and weird, in a good way. Review: Ok watch. Not durable - Wanted to like this watched loved the styling. Loved the history and the fact that it was all built in house. Unfortunately it wasn't as durable as I thought it would be. After a fall from my sink the post holdong the dial in place broke off. Would of required more money to fix than what the watch is worth which is fine but I was hoping this watch would be more durable. If you're looking for a cheap automatic you can beat up look into an Invicta Pro Diver.

Scuba Dubba Dude, Where Are You?
Like when I was a kid I’d watch Scooby Doo cartoons every Saturday, now I wear this Scuba Dude Vostok when going on fun weekend adventures. The bezel “clickiness” is just right, the watch is pretty accurate for the brand & the image of the diver makes me smile. The mediocre strap will be replaced eventually, but it’s serviceable for now.

Not great....wanted to love this watch, but build quality of the wind up mechanism is terrible. Feels like the entire knob will come off in your hand once pulled out to wind.

If you were to judge this watch purely on specifications, then you would have a cheap, dated, inaccurate, toy-like mess. If that's the case, how does this watch manage to have an almost cult-like following? Straight out of the box, this watch is charming in its quirkiness. It is 2023, but this watch was designed in 1968. Instead of sapphire or mineral glass, you have domed lucite-acyrlic. Instead of a screw-down caseback, you have a keyed press-fit caseback with a screw-down securing ring. Instead of a spring-loaded screw-down crown protected by crown-guards, you have a screw-down crown which is de-coupled from the stem and 'wobbles around' to protect it from shocks. You get automatic-winding and hand-winding, but you can forget about hacking! Instead of a 60 or 120 click unidirectional marked bezel, you get a friction-set bidirectional bezel (This is quite clever, as it uses water-pressure to lock into place whilst diving) Instead of a quick-date setting, you have to set the date by winding the hands past 12 o'clock, then back to the 9 o'clock position, then past 12 o'clock, and so on... Accuracy is rated at an unimpressive -30 to +60 seconds a day. On the timegrapher, my watch is running at +11 seconds per day, with almost NO positional deviation. That's not bad! The lume isn't great, but it is functional. I charged my lume at 11pm, and by 7am the following day it was still visible (albeit very weak) It cost just under £110. It has a 10 year service interval (compare with Seiko at 5 years, and Tudor at 3!) *WARNING** : If you decide to buy this watch, it will have you questioning all the other watches in your collection. The value proposition is amazing. Just excellent!
