Its awesome!
Honestly, I don't get excited about a lot of things, but this thing is awesome! I got the blue color, and it reminds me of rain or a waterfall. The gold sparkles inside are fun too, reminds me of prospecting. My wife says it satisfies her crow brain too lol. There is a review video on here where a guy shows you how to remove/add air to it to make the sand flow better, watch that and you're good.Side note: it does come with a syringe; it needs it so you can adjust the air/water amount. Of course keep it out of reach of children. If you give it as a gift I would take the syringe out of the box first and then after they open the present I would help them adjust the air levels, and then I would keep the syringe somewhere safe. With that said, this is a great gift, it's calming yet interesting, and it lets the imagination run wild. 100% recommend this

LOVE IT!
I've always been fascinated by sand art, and particularly the dynamic kind. But I got jaded as a youth when products didn't work as expected. This was a fantastic buy (and one of the less expensive). The panels are glass -- which gives it heft, almost offsetting the cheap feel of the plastic base. The package comes with a syringe with which the user can add or remove air from the closed system. With simplistic pictures and few words, I couldn't make sense of it. So I was glad when I read that most arrive not needing any adjustment. The colors on this are fantastic. My blue has equal parts white and so is less rich and deep than the picture, but it still reminds me of the waves off an Oregon beach, the gold flecks mimicking the glint of fleeting sun.And it runs slowly, subtly. The small trickle(s) allow the sand to run for up to an hour. It is deeply relaxing to watch. Granted, sometimes it gets caught in equilibrium and needs a small tap or shock to get going again, but for the most part it just works. One thing I did not understand before is the importance of bubbles. I thought they were aesthetic rubbish, something to be avoided (or signs of poor manufacturing). I've found that the bubbles are necessary to create weak points in the above/below horizon, allowing sand to slip through -- keeping the balance ever-changing.One of my best purchases of late.

Calming and visually captivating desktop art
Tilt the glass frame and watch fine colored sand form ever‑changing landscapes in motion. Great stress relief and affordable desk décor. A few mention wobbling base or tricky setup with adjustment syringe.

I absolutely love this thing!
I adjusted the air and water a little bit when I got it but I'd recommend NOT doing that first because I think the issue was my technique of flipping. Instead of rotating it to flip it, imagine flipping it like how you flip a coin but slowly. Try to get the air bubble(s) to move across and stop the sand from falling as quickly as you can. I get it wrong about half the time and all the sand falls fast because the bubbles don't stretch across. However, when I get it right I get amazing sandscapes! I'd try that first and watch some YouTube on adding/removing air and visually get an idea of how much air you see in the sand art. I definitely think it was worth the money overall and recommend getting practice in flipping the orientation (and using patience) before you adjust the air or water levels.

Grandson Loves It
I bought this just to have something on a side table. My grandson was entranced by it for a few days while he was here. So much so I ordered another to be sent to his home when they left.It comes with a device to add or remove air and I could see people using it although I haven't. It seems temperature affects the dispersion of air wherein warmer temps expand the air so it forms a slightly more robust barrier to the sand when inverted. In any case, I'm glad I purchased it and would buy a bigger model in the future.

Cool Product But Be Ready To Make Adjustments & Spend More Money
Feels sturdy, and the color is nice. However, mine came with to little air in the frame which makes it really cloudy when I flip it over because the sand simply free falls. Not a big deal, air is bound to leak out at some point. The box shows a guide on how much air there should be and a SYRINGE that needs to be used to accomplish this. Again no big deal except there was no SYRINGE in the box, tore apart every bit of packing to make sure I didn't miss it, but it was not there. So now I have the pleasure of shopping for a syringe and trying to find out what gauge the needle size needs to be to make this happen. Spoiler Alert * there is no information on what size is needed so I get to buy a variety pack and see which one works. For the three weeks it took to get the thing and then it doesn't even come with a tool to adjust it to make it work properly is beyond frustrating. There are other reviews that say it came with one, others who had the same problem as me. Normally I wouldn't complain but this is a very crucial piece that I would consider to be part of the product and that is why I'm giving the three star review. the disk itself is really cool and as advertised.

Not impressed
Just sat there did nothing, had distracting bubbles floating around that dis not match its scenery. Even after flipping it showed no interest. I admit, I did not read instructions, settling for the fact that if I have to do more than take it out of the box, I don't want it!

Calming and beautiful
These are so cool. They are so calming to watch and fun to see what the final look will be. Love having one to just take a moment and relax and watch the new “mountain ranges” come in.
