Red Vines Twists, Black Licorice Flavor, 3.5LB Bulk Tub, Old Fashioned Soft & Chewy Candy

This was the first time I'd purchased this particular brand of black licorice. I was surprised when I bit into it. I've never had a licorice twist with such thin walls. It doesn't really matter because it's sold by weight, not by piece. In thinking about it I realized that it actually makes it easier to bite off a piece. The flavor is a good strong black licorice, the candy is fresh and soft. Very good product.

These are true licorice not the red vine imposters. I have bought these a few times and they have always been soft and taste great that is if you like the taste of real licorice. Watch your price before they send them. I bought some for $9.11 I looked when I got a notification when they would ship and they jumped the price to $90. These do not ship from Amazon but they said was free prime shipping. I should have contacted Amazon before I cancelled not sure what they would do. Not sure why Amazon ships the red vines but not the black licorice. Probably don't stock them because they dont sell enough. The couple times I have bought them they have been great same with the red vines.

I try not to order these too often because they are so good. I start eating them and have trouble stopping. I think the licorice flavor is great. I have had a little bit better - like Jelly Bellys - but for this price they're very good.

Not exactly what I expected, but still good value. Fresh and tasted good.

My mother loved black licorice, especially the Switzers licorice bars. She would buy several and share with my brother and I. Eventually Switzers disappeared, so we started buying the black red vines at Costco. Eventually Costco quit carrying the black but kept selling the red. Now, it appears Costco carries neither (maybe just the store I normally go to). Fortunately, Sam's Club still has the red (5 lb. jar for slightly under $12.00). But this is the only place I can find the black. These were delivered quickly and were ultra fresh. I will buy as long as the price does not skyrocket. Just needs to come with directions on how to stop once you start eating them

We've long had a love of Redvine brand Black Licorice in this household, and have often been forced to buy the bags in the store that have sat for a long time. They would often be dried out and chewy. This container arrived with the freshest black licorice I have ever experienced. I didn't even know that it could be so moist and tender. That's right, I said tender in reference to candy. I have no other words to say. It has been a delight.

Great gift for licorice lover. Soft & fresh.

Black Redvines used be molasses based, and I think it had a stronger licorice flavor. This has a milder flavor (a light anise flavor), a thin, thready texture, and a base of high fructose corn syrup. It is soft but not really chewy. Still, better than Twizzlers, the slippery pretenders.

Great tasting excellent value

I’ve never had this brand before . And it was immediately the best i think I’ve ever had. Fresh too.
