Our well pump seemed to be running much more than was necessary. Since our pump has been in our well for almost 40 years, maybe something was wrong with the pump's check valve that led to the bleedback of water into the well. Pulling the pump is never cheap so we bought this check valve and installed it before our pressure tank and switch. Problem solved!! Pump now runs when water is needed. Hopefully, with less running it will last a lot longer now. Super easy to install since we have a 1 inch plastic line coming from the well. I just cut out a section of the inflow pipe and installed this checkvalve in it.

Everything appears to be high quality but the threads are marred. Does not allow fittings to be screwed in all the way. Both ends were cut improperly. UPDATE: with enough tape and paste the fitting did not leak and works good. Based on this I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars.

Was what I needed for my water well. Prevented water backflow to the pump.

This was the exact check valve i needed for my submersible pump to keep water from dropping back out. doesn;t have any notable leak by even under 300' of head pressure.
