a great expansion to a great game
Istanbul is a great game all by itself. With Letters & Seals? better, bigger, longer, funner, but still, the base game is a great classic.

Decent expansion, recommend for experienced players
Before I begin, I still recommend buying this expansion, as it's an improvement to the main game. However, I wouldn't recommend using it with new players. I'd suggest to work this one in after the Mocha and Baksheesh (aka coffee) expansion. The coffee expansion is borderline necessary to use. This expansion, Letters, I view more as optional. I picked up on the same sentiment from most boardgame people I've met.Pros - Adds new and unique strategy to winningCons - Becomes to complex for less experienced players. Even more little pieces.

Completely Essential for Istanbul to Work
This is essential as any expansion I have encountered. By itself Istanbul, a gorgeous game, has the deficiency that experienced player will employ a back and forth loop to win . This is fun for no one. Both of the Istanbul expansions serve to remedy this!

Awesome game, sad it was sent to me damaged
Great game, arrived in a clean shipping package on time. The only problem was the item was damaged. One of the corners of the game was mashed up. I opened it and luckily the pieces were fine. I am just going to add all the pieces to my original box. But when I order something new I would like it undamaged.

Another nice expansion. There are a few tiles we never much go to, but the three new ones we like; we like a lot.
