An Honest Review (It breaks
I won't avoid what you want to know, so I'll keep it short to the point but detailed enough.(update march 2015)I would like to point out before you continue, these headphones break easily. I haven't updated this at a proper time considering college, anyway, these headphones did not last me even a year before the plastic cracked. After I called up skullcandy they said they don't offer repairs and to just buy another new one. If you want something to last, I suggest not reading any further.- Sound - Take note that this is NOT like a headphone or earbud. The voices will be a little faded since it is surround sound. Surround sound gives you more music than the voice, that how they work. You'll have to lower the music and increase the voice. Coolest feature is their V-G vol. control. You can increase voice volume or the game volume, which ever one you want to hear the most and yes the is the usual + and - master vol. The bass is beautiful, it's like a subwoofer but it's good enough for a headseat, it's kind of similar to a vehicals bass (of course it depends due to various speakers). They also have an EQ3 which allows you to change the bass/teble for what you're hearing. #1 - has the most bass and best for music and sometimes movies. #2 - Normal bass and normal treble, good for movies and games that you want to hear thing clear but with the BOOM in it too for explosions. #3 - Least bass and most Treble, this is best for when you want to hear the game CLEARLY to wear you can hear the footsteps of other in FPS' and bullet shots and that includes hearing in game voices too.!!THERE IS NO NOISE-CANCELATION WITH THESE HEADPHONES!! These headphones do not cancle in the sound our cancle out sounds, However is does muffle it enough. At least you can hear when others are calling you, unless you have a lot of other noises in your house.-EDIT--Surround Sound- I've seen some people say that it isn't surround sound. I have no idea what they have done to say this but has been surround sound for me. The audio jack may seem like something you have to use but Surround Sound doesn't really go through it that well. I've been hearing surround sounds while going through the USB rather than the audio jack so that may be something you might want to look into. Also I'm playing the PS4 with my skullcandy plyr 2 with the audio coming out of the tv (Visio 42") and into the transmitter. I played BF4, CoD, KZ Shadow Fall and currently FF14 and I hear surround sound on ALL of them and this is with audio jack.-Power Saver-Coolest function that I have found out quite a while ago but forgot to post. The headset turns off after around 3-5 minutes of it recieving no audio transmition. So if you forgot to turn it off you don't need to worry, it'll shut itself off after a few minutes if there is no audio playing. This has honestly saved a lot of electricity usage.-EDIT COMPLETE-- Design/Comfort - It's a little tight on the head I do admit so it'll get tiring after a while. The cushioning isn't bad at all but it's not the best. It rests nicely on the top of the head instead of weighing it down. I do admit compared a lot of other headphones this headphone is pretty light.- Mic - As told the mic mutes when set up straight which is the coolest feature if you ask me, no more flipping a switch. I do LP's and the mic is very different in sound. It's hard to describe, my logitech mic has increadible treble and can hear you breath, Skullcandy Plyr2 doesn't pick it up unless you purposefully do it and doesn't have as increadible treble. Compared to xbox mics it's seriously good. Adjusting your mic's position is amazingly easy and smooth. It stays where you put it, but as you should know there is always a limit.- Cables - The audio cables are easy to install, red and white what more must I say. Your transmitter or brain as skullcandy says, has a power cable which is also the mic cable. It comes with a 360 cable to chat on xbox live, it connect from the controller to the headphone so be careful if you rage/throw your controller. The power/mic cable is a USB so you connect it to your PS3 for chat or on the computer for chat, weather the USB works on the 360 is beyond me but at least you have the xbox cable. To hear the sound of your computer you need a 3.5 mm cable !IT IS NOT INCLUDED!. It also comes with a headphone charger which is exactly like a PS3 controller charger, and the power cable.Personally I love these head phones. The design is just killer and the color is just awesome (there are only three colors for plyr 2 and 2 for plyr1). I'm seriously satisfied with this gaming headphone. Awsome for music, movie's and gaming. Every time I'm home I can't wait to use it, stupid saying that but I'm serious..Can I listen to my consol audio? - YesCan I chat? - Yes, the PS3 will use the power/mic cable and the Xbox360 will use the chat cable. Can I listen to my PC audio and will I need a audio jack? - Yes and no, YOU'LL YOU NEED TO GET A 3.5 MM AUDIO JACK (In short a jack that fits in a Ipod or the computer, both ends must be male) or you can have it go through the USB.Is the Mic quality good? - It's acceptable but could be better. Is it comfortable? - Somewhat, it's not the most comfortable headset I've felt better, but it's still good.Is the sound good? - Yes, the sound is very nice and you can adjust it too.Is it easy to hook up? - Yes, absolutly easy, manual is a little confusing but you'll figure it out quickly. Is it Surround sound? - Yes, I suggest you have the audio go through the USB since I've been hearing the surround sound with that (through PC).Is it worth it? - (updated march 2015) I can't say I would since it breaks after a while. Skullcandy doesn't offer repairs too.

Rugged and Reliable to the bitter end. //UNLESS IT IS THE WHITE PLASTIC//
A simple and budget friendly gaming headset.Pros:+Rechargeable via USB, no need to constantly buy and replace batteries.+On the fly Audio balancing between two sources of audio, very useful when the game gets too loud to hear your social group's chatter and/or party instructions.+Resilient! I have personally broken a head set costing thrice as much merely by taking them off to quickly, these have been removed more roughly and don't even crack.+Removable Cushion pads allow for cleaning, something that is of use to those in hot climates.+Substantial Range, I have maintained signal a good 10 yards through numerous walls with no loss of audio.Cons:-Supplied charging cable isn't very long and causes problems if you wish to use the headset while still plugged in.-The Charging port is placed in a way that is bothersome if worn and plugged in at the same time, but not any worse than any other headset I've used.-The internal Printed Circuit Board is too thin to repair, should the charging port be damaged internally. A year of continuous use, [We're talking 8-12 hours every day], and the strain caused by wearing the headset while charging it will contribute to the eventual damaged port.-White Plastic is apparently more Brittle or of lower quality than the black and yellow. Even with reasonable use, the mounting of the cans to the band crack and shatter.=Overall I love this model of headset so much after having countless headsets break on me over the years, that when my original pair finally died after a year and half of loyal service, I tried to have them repaired instead of replacing them. Upon discovery of the PCB thickness issue, I chose to replace them with the exact same Model though not the same color.///UPDATE JUNE 2017///Decision to purchase white color variant was a terrible mistake, in my limited experience the plastic seems to be brittle in comparison to the black and yellow variant. I do not understand the reason for the brittleness only that it is a problem. I am taking a star off my review for this quality assurance oversight.

Great sturdy wireless headphones for long sessions.
Well, I had researched these headphones for awhile and have seen some disparaging reviews. I however have had a great experience with these. So for the positives, they are very comfortable headphones. I use them as a tech support from home and work 8-10 hours a day with them. If I set them on the charger overnight, they will last a whole shift with no problem. I'd say the charge will last 11-12 hours of continuous use. I have no problems with ear fatigue. They sound fantastic. There are 3 eq modes, which I have not messed with because they seem fine right where they are at. And I can feel the bass rumbling, the bass range is great. For phone conversations the clarity is very good. But they certainly do shine while watching movies or gaming. They are a blast. I use them a lot for music listening as well.At this same price point, there are a couple sets from Corsair and Logitech. I almost ordered the G930s, but I am really glad I didn't Going wireless is important to me, and I can walk all over the house with these while listening to music and never once have I had an issue with cutting out, interference, or dropping. On the other hand, most of the complaints I've heard about other wireless headsets is they run on the over-burdened 2.4Ghz frequency most wifi stuff does. I can not say what frequency these transmit on, but they have never failed me yet.Regardless, I have had zero buyer's remorse on this one. I have dropped them, stpped on them, smeared peanut butter and all other kinds of daily abuse and they are still there, waiting for me the next day, ready to go. I also recommend very much the sturdy USB cable from Datastream. Very happy with my purchase.

Bought for use with a PC for gaming, Discord, and sometimes music.
Build: AverageThe headset is completely plastic. Earcups have a small amount of swivel. Headband extension is okay. Mic boom is flexible and snaps into place in uppermost (off) position.Comfort: GoodHeadband has a small amount of foam padding. The default pads are removable and provide decent seal and comfort. The Brainwavz HM5 pleather pads fit them and improve comfort, but make bass even more prominent than it is. (See Sound)Sound: AverageThe headphones have extremely strong bass out of the box (setting 1), to the point of making plain speech uncomfortable and tiring. To fix this, I had to put it in precision mode (setting 3) and/or roll off lower frequencies on the equalizer. For PC you DEFINITELY need a 3,5-3,5 jack cable connection to the receiver, otherwise you only get mono, low quality sound over the USB. Overall the sound quality is what you would expect from a £50 gaming headset - average at best.Features: GoodWireless operation is really good. There's no interference, no crackling etc. I can exit my room and go down a flight of stairs and still get good signal. The microphone is clear enough and easy to put in a good position, or mute. The controls on right cup feel a little janky, specifically the volume stick. Putting in the charging cable blindly is possible but takes practice. Headset lasts a good couple of hours on one charge and let's you know with a beep when the battery gets low. What you get:- headset- wireless receiver- USB cable (receiver-source)- USB cable (receiver-headset for charging)What you don't get:- 3,5mm male-to-male jack cable necessary for quality audio

The positives are that the wireless system works great and instantly connects to my computer
The positives are that the wireless system works great and instantly connects to my computer. However, past that I don't strongly recommend the product due to the false description of being Surround sound, when it is in fact mono channel only. On top of this, there is an annoying feedback into the headset when one breathes too loudly into the mic piece, so that one can hear their breath through the headphones. I so wanted to like the product but for the price, you would be better off going for a Logitec surround sound wired headphone system instead; much better sound quality.

Schwierig

Guter Sound, Material naja
