Great belt for heavy set men.
This belt is perfect for overweight guys like me. I am 300 lbs and wear a size 48 waist. I ordered the 4xl and it is perfect. It left me some extra length which others have mentioned is handy to have. some folks complained that it is hard to cinch this belt because it is too stiff. This is not actually true. Yes the belt is stiff, thick and durable but there is a technique to cinching this belt. Thread the belt through the belt loops on your pants. Do not try to fasten it yet. Look down and notice that one side hangs the belt end and the other side hangs the buckle...stay with me...now thread the belt through the buckle and in doing so, leave it so loose "inside" the buckle itself, that it makes a sort of loop. Grab the loop on the buckle side and simultaneously pull it toward the buckle side while continuing to grab the loop close to the buckle and taking care not to pull the belt's end back through the buckle accidentally. Once the belt feels nice and snug you must then make sure that the buckle doesn't move while pulling the belt end through tightly and you will be good to go. Once it is set, it does not come undone no matter what kind of work you are doing. As a heavy guy it is a struggle to find an accommodating belt that will hold up. This is the best belt I have found for a big guy.

Great belt, great price, work it in...
This belt is fantastic if you are looking for a reversible carry belt. I think that some of the reviewers that purchased this belt might be being overly critical, or perhaps are unfamiliar with this style of belt.It is thick for a nylon belt, but no thicker than a good quality leather belt. It is very stiff when it comes in, but so are most nylon carry belts. I spent a few minutes(approx 5) "softening" the belt by folding it in half and then rolling the pinch up and down the length of the belt on both sides. This process took A LOT of the stiffness out.I don't run into the belt working itself loose throughout the day, but the initial tightening takes a bit of getting used to because of the thickness of the belt. Once you figure out how to best do that, it stays put.The heaviest sidearm I've carried all day with this belt is a loaded full sized S&W M&P40 in a hybrid IWB holster(daily carry). I never feel like it is moving, or sagging, I don't have to re adjust or tighten the belt throughout the day. I also carried a loaded 1911 and 4 loaded mags OWB for a 5 hour range course where I had to draw and re holster SEVERAL times. The belt performed wonderfully. If you are like me and have a little bit of a muffin top when you sit, the belt buckle can get a little uncomfortable poking you in the bottom of the gut if you have to sit in an office chair for long periods of time. I've been losing a bunch of weight and it becomes less and less of an issue for me every week. When I bought this belt I had a 44in waist, and I'm glad that I bought the XXL cause the XL would not have spanned the expanse. I highly suggest this belt.Hope this helps!

good heavy duty belt.
I wear the normal 5.11 belt of this kind that has only 1 layer with my jeans. This belt works even better as the 2 layers make it much stiffer. Makes a great gun belt or belt for motorcycle pants. It is reversible so you have 2 colors. Economical cost belt that is heavy duty and is great for outdoors. Does not set off metal detectors due to the plastic buckle. Worn these for years and never had one fail.

Nice belt but has sizing issues
I own several 5.11 items. They, like this belt are all well made. I like the width 1 3/4" and the reversible colors. It is also nice that it does not have any metal parts so no more having to remove it when trying to get through security at the airport. There is one slight problem and the reason I did not give it 5 stars. There is a sizing problem. I now own both colors the OD Green and Coyote Brown. I bought the first one from a local store and it was old stock. I would normally wear a large but had to buy a XL because the large was too short. So when I wanted another one I also ordered a XL. The new one is at least 6" longer. I compared the factory tags and they are identical. My guess is that they had a sizing problem at one time (the first one being too short) but have now corrected it (the new one being too long which a XL should) Even having one too long is not a bad thing. You can always cut it down.

Very Nice!!!
Ordered this belt Wednesday, expecting it to come on Friday, but it showed up today (Thursday). Bonus! This belt is very well made, it is a solid tan belt with the black stitched to the other side, effectively making this a dual layer belt. The belt is true to size, but I ordered a size larger so that it would fit when I was carrying my side arm inside the waistband. Perfect fit! and with the dual layer setup, it provide even more support when carrying. I had been carrying with off the shelf belts and as I knew going into it, it was an uncomfortable carry. From the moment I put it on with my side arm, I could feel the difference in comfort. Much better. I ordered the 1.75 inch belt, and while it fits most of my jeans with out a problem; however, there are a few pair of shorts that the belt loops are a little snug. The snugness of the belt loops doesn't bother me, but it is something to be aware of.

Very Secure Belt
I have owned the 1.5 inch Black TDU belt for about 5 years now so I have complete confidence in the plastic buckle knowing it won't give. I ended up loosing that belt during a trip and needed a replacement and saw this double duty belt. It's a lot stiffer, but not less comfortable. The extra quart inch was nice and it holds all my gear securely with no issue. I usually carry a baton, flashlight, knife, leatherman surge and a radio all on my belt along with my keys and it's been holding up just fine with no comfort issues. The buckle sticks out a little far because it is thicker due to have the two different colorwd layers, but it isn't really something that I feel thay I should take a star away for. And again, having owned the tdu belt for so long, I know that the plastic buckle is tough and will hold up over time!
