The EV ND86 is an excellent microphone 🎤 at a low price. I bought 4 for my church's music ministry and they perform great. Excellent voice reproduction and they love them. I even used one to mic a classical guitar and wow I love it too. I'm buying two of them for voice and guitar. I highly recommend it.

I was having feedback issues with my sennhaiser e835, e816s and my sure58 whenever I would load up a dirty tube sound on my vocals if the room was small. I was using a battery powered set up with an acoustic singer ve–8. whenever there was a wall or relive surface to bounce the sound back towards the mic the feedback would howl. The ev ND86 does not feedback in the exact same rooms and or circumstances, and I can increase the volume. It is the least feedback or most feedback resistant mike I have used in 40 years of mic usage. You gotta get right up on it to be heard. I had to play with the eq at first. It’s a little deeper ended than the sennhaiser. I had to bring up the treble and mids and drop the base a tiny bit to get a similar sound I like. I’m loving it.

Love the clarity on this microphone.

Have been very happy with this mic. Used an SM58 for years, but this one has much more power, to the point where I find myself pulling off of it a bit. With the 58, I sometimes came close to chipping my front teeth. The flat head of this mic makes it much easier to avoid hurting myself and it's just so much more comfortable to us in performance. I highly recommend this mic.

I really suggest before buying a mic to go and try it out maybe in a store because it really depends on your type of voice and your type of performance

Choosing a good mic is a lot more than just star ratings, it must suit your voice. But this is a quality mic, have no doubts. Have an old EV mic from the 80's that has been great so had no heitance ordering this. Sounds great, for my voice, and really good feedback rejection. A quality microphone. The old one is still working great and being used but left it behind in Norway, so needed another here in Scotland where I live now.

This is a very good quality Mic EV 86 Replaces my Shure beta 58 I have been working with for Many years. but i can tell the difference to this Ev 86 when your are singing you can tell it got more power to Give when you get closer to it Through a technique called mic control You build up and learn this technique through experience. When singing and performing in different gigs.And showcases I do believe that Ev has done it work on the new Technology EV Magnet systems development into this new EV 86 MIC , making it a very good quality affordable microphone that's sounds Like a Expensive condenser microphone . I was very surprised and pleased as well with this EV 86 MIC .It's rugged and it's a bit weight about it which I like to and it's gonna last a very long time on the Road for busking and show Gigs this is my new Go to MIC the Ev 86 microphone the price was a Winner to.
