Time will tell
I purchased this for a Lincoln 3350 series hood. Installation was easy enough and I've used it a few times so far. But, as it's winter up here in the north, it is prone to fogging up on me so I won't have a true impression of it until spring arrives and I can use it and actually see what I'm welding.I does definitely magnify what you are viewing though, and because of the series hood I have, there is room left over it so I can look around without having it magnified.

Extremely helpful
Easy to use, have no complains. Hubby uses this for welding.

Perfect view!
I use glasses to be able to see far, near and intermediate. When I started welding (I do it as a hobby), it was very difficult for me to see and focus on the welding area, it was very frustrating for me. On Amazon, I saw a video where a person demonstrated this type of lens, I decided to buy it looking for an alternative to my problem, when I started using it, the change was from heaven to earth. Honestly with this lens I see much better. The best decision I've ever made.

Very Clear Vision
My helmet is not designed to accept this lens. The lens is quite thick robust plastic probably due to getting the 2.5 reader prescription. I am also not sure the lens will help me but wanted to try it anyway. Therefore I had to modify the lens to fit. Height was perfect but width a little too wide. I used a Dremel sanding drum to slowly remove enough plastic from the edges to fit down in my auto darkening insert. Then used black electrical tape on the edges hold it in. There is no visual distortion and I have full vision with no obstruction. The magnification is perfect and even slightly larger than my reading glasses.Hopefully it will help see the welds.
