CHARD FG800SS 8 Meat Grinder

Ordered for my mom I bought the same one 5 years ago and have used it several times since works very good.

I borrowed this same grinder from my brother and when he asked for it back I couldnt be with out one. Great product.

too hard to clean after use

I paid $70 for this machine, so I don't expect it to be commercial grade. Have only had for a few days; can't address the longevity of the unit. I made a 25lb batch of sausage (50/50 mix of pork butt and stew grade deer meat, plus a little bacon). The machine worked well. Everything was ground with the fine plate and I didn't have a problem with clogging (there was plenty of cartilage wrapped around the blades and auger, but the grinder still functioned). I stopped midway to clean the blades. I was not kind to the machine. I fed everything in with only minimal trimming or cubing. There was a lot of gristle/silver skin/ tendons/etc. going in, and the machine handled it without too much difficulty. I did manage to overheat the motor at one point and had to let it cool off, but, in fairness, I believe I was being more abusive to the grinder than a reasonable person would be. So far, this seems like a reasonable use of $70.

This machine has ran great,prolly grinded 35 deer up and finally burned out the blade and cut plate,the down side is finding the replacement parts for it

use grinder 3 times yr so used it 6 times for pimento cheese stated smell wire smoke smell 5&6 time getting worse. had to turn it off & on get the job done today only take 10 minutes use. was firefighter 36yrs & fire investigator you tell this product going cause fire in the kitchen. just my take...model #FG800SS CHARD & INTERTERTEK CO.

Purchased this grinder last night and ran over 20lbs of mostly frozen Venison thru it today. It did it with no problem. So far so good. Time will tell. For the price I am happy.
