Bought this to replace a thermostat that was supposed to lock open if the engine overheated. That one locked open the first day. This one just works like a normal thermostat and that's what is needed. Very satisfied.

You have to do a little modification to the plastic housing because the thermostat is a little bit bigger but it flows a lot sooner than stock which is cool so far I’ve been pushing it since I got it and works just fine !!!

Perfect fit in my Pt Cruiser and is still working just fine. I bought a sure fit at a local auto supply store and it was suppose to lock open if the engine were to over heat so damage to engine would not occor. It locked open alright about 3 months later and not because of engine troubles but because it just decided to lock open, which didn't help when I needed heat. This one is a standard thermostat for 195 degrees and it works just fine.

Fit perfectly. The old had a rubber gasket too thin and seeped. This works great and keeps temp perfect. Highly recommend. Easy install.

This DOES NOT fit a 2002 Mini Cooper. The gasket and thermostat are not the correct size. Sadly had to return.

I was told the cause of overheating was a head gasket by the repair shop. Turned out replacing the thermostat solved the problem. This is a high quality part.
