Kratos ZF8 Steel Blade Hunting Knife with Rosewood Handle & Sheath (7in)

My knife purchase experience-Pros:- Arrived fast.- Nicely packaged & all parts arrived together (1 knife, 1 sheath).- Pretty well balanced knife.- Blade edge is quite durable and it held it's edge well against abuse (reasonably sharp out of the box, but I sharpened it prior to testing it).- The back of the knife works great with my fire starter!- No loose parts, no rattling or wiggling anywhere, even after extensive abuse. Pretty solid knife!- Comfortable in the hand (except as noted in Cons), and has a nice ergonomic design.Cons:- The knife they sent me had a single bevel blade for some reason? I sharpened it and changed it to a double bevel, but very odd occurrence since it wasn't advertised as such, as far as I can tell.- All the metal edges in the handle protrude from the wood and catch on my hand. They haven't outright cut me yet, but they're peeling skin from my hand and fingers through use. Comfortable to wield with gloves though.- Blade's tip was NOT durable! The last 0.5cm of the blade bent quite easily, with very little force needed to warp it. Was able to bend it almost back into shape afterward, but I advise only using the tip on soft materials! It's bad if it hits bone, bad for digging, and is no good for opening cans, for example.- The sheath works, but it's cheap. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but it could be better.Overall:Functional and durable blade. I can definitely recommend this as a camp knife. Works well for cutting kindling, clearing brush, food preparation, fire starting, and is solid enough to chop down small trees. Just be careful what you stick it into, cause you'll bend the tip real quick.

This knife is well made it would make an awesome gift the Box and knife just looks awesome but buy two or your not going to give this one up. The sheath is the only draw back on this knife it would be good for a knife to throw in the car or tool box but this is too nice of a knife for that. To the company replace the sheath with a leather one and up the price by 10 bucks and you want be able to keep in stock.

The quality of the knife was excellent.

I like the knife a lot - but did not come with a knife sheath as shown in ad and photos. I called Amazon and was only offered a refund. Really just wanted a Sheath - I wanted what was shown
