So one year later, two dozen stripers in the 20lbs range, the reel is going on strong. The only issue is the handle keeps unscrewing itself when fighting the fish.

Reels arrived a day before expected. They are as described and very smooth. Size wise they are small. I may have miscalculated my needs so I may have to think that thru. That’s my fault not the reels.

Spooled a 50lb braided line onto it and so far pretty good. Took it out on 3 fishing trips and it handled 30+ lbs of skip jacks. Just wish they had a bigger size.

Survived 2 solid weeks of fishing for a couple hours every day. Seems to handle big fish with ease. If it lasts over a year, I'll certainly give it 5 stars!!

I took it to our annual Florida beach trip. Bought this as a back up to two new Penn reels that we spent money on. They are great, but this ended up being our “go to” super smooth, easy to cast. Really happy with the purchase.

Bought for salt water fishing and so happy with it! Very smooth cast and retrieval.

Reel is plastic. It works fine, but If a big fish got on it wouldn’t survive. If it were metal it would be a good reel. It’s smooth and has a good ratio though.

Bought this reel a few months ago to go along with a 7' ugly stick i bought last year. Used this reel probably a half dozen times. Yesterday got a big hit fishing at Marco Island Bridge (Florida). It was a big fish! Gave it a tug to set the hook, let the fish run a little, as soon as I tried cranking the reel it failed. Felt like it slipped a gear or something? Could not get the fish in, line eventually gave way. Reel is now trash!

Funciono perfectamente incluso pude sacar un Mahi Mahi de 6 kilos sin problema! Lo único que no me gusto es qué hay que estar apretando la manivela muy seguido. De ahí todo bien!
