Very Comfortable, but Not Durable and Soaks Water Like Socks
Reasons for 2 Stars:+ Very comfortable+ Extremely flexible- Not very durable, I've hardly touched them and the wear is already beginning- Soaks up water like socks, the sole is not waterproof at allI ordered these in the winter and wore them around a few times indoors. I love how comfortable they are and they articulate with almost no resistance due to the sole which is essentially a bunch of rubber hexagons glued to the bottom. My mistake with these was waiting until the spring to use them outside. I found out that the sole soaks water through instantly. If you step in water, it feels like you have socks on and it comes right through the bottom. All the other minimal style shoes I've had (for the past 8 years) have had waterproof soles, not sure why these ones don't... or maybe mine are no good?As other people mentioned, without much use, the durability is clearly low on these. They chose to go with a higher grip rubber, which wears faster as a result. I appreciate the grip, but they simply won't last. For the type of shoe all I ask is that they last one year of mild use.All in all, I don't recommend these shoes.

Great Entry into the Minimalist Market
These are an outstanding addition to the growing crowd of minimalist running shoes, and a real stand-out. I went ahead and took a chance on these despite the mixed reviews and rather wild styling, and am glad I did.The Good:These shoes are incredibly light -- easily as light as my Vibram Fivefingers EL-X. The shoe is basically a series of hexagon-shaped knobs, a piece of fabric to hold them together, and a very thin upper. They look like they'd be uncomfortable, but the individual hexagons aren't noticed while the shoes are being worn -- they feel like a single (very flexible) sole. Ground feel is outstanding -- light years above and beyond other minimalist "running" shoes, and on par with many of my other minimalist 'lifestyle' shoes designed more for barefoot style walking than running (Vibram EL-X, Sockwa G8, Feelmax, etc). The sole material provides just enough abrasion and impact protection that you don't need to watch every step while running, all without inhibiting the natural movement of your foot whatsoever. I prefer just a bit more sole for running than for any other activity (when I prefer no sole at all, to be honest) and these fit the bill perfectly. The not-so-good:Fit: These seem to run just a little bit small. I originally ordered these true to size. After a couple hours of wear, they were pinching my pinkie toes just a bit. I returned them for a half-size larger and now they fit perfectly. Also, these have absolutely zero water resistance. Being a very minimalist design, these shoes are very low to the ground, and the smallest collection of water will seep directly through the fabric material that holds the hegaxons together and into the shoe. My last gripe, which is minor and admittedly subjective, is the styling. Even in black, the contrasting honeycomb pattern on the shoes is quite eye-catching and a little flashy for my taste.Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase (once I got the correct size), I would buy these again, and I would certainly recommend them to any serious minimalist runner. If you've got your form down and are looking for a running shoe that offers nothing more than protection from debris along your running path, don't hesitate to give these a try.

Interesting shoes
I recently purchased several pairs of these NB Minimus Running Shoes because I needed something rather lightweight and not too expensive since I am on a budget and spotted these running shoes for a pretty decent price considering they are name brand. First thing I noticed about these shoes are they are extremely lightweight and you can pretty much roll these shoes up if you take them on a trip and tuck them in your suitcase or even a purse for the ladies. They look great and actually they are very comfortable. I have been wearing mine indoors all day. I wore them once outdoors....it was wet and the water does seep into these shoes very easy. Your feet will for sure get soaked if you run or even walk in even 1 inch of snow, shallow water or mud much quicker than regular running shoes. Overall I gave these sneakers 4 of 5 stars because no arch support and water intrudes easier into these running shoes than most others. Overall, I still like them and will wear them a lot this spring for my runs/walks.

BEWARE, they should call this a sock, and not really a shoe...
BEWARE, they should call this a sock, and not really a shoe.I ran in this for most of the summer. Try to imagine it to be the most minimalist thing ever. I don't think it even has a structure for the sole. The sole is so thin, that I would avoid using it on wet surfaces, as the water will definitely come through. Also, one must be careful when running on dirty surfaces, you will eventually feel pain if you run over broken glass and cracked concrete. This not a shoe for barefoot novices and beginners, I would recommend it for people who have been running on barefoot shoes for a while. They are great, you really feel like your are using shoes to run.

Wide feet? Read this:
If you have normal width feet, please pretend that this review does not exist, it doesn't apply to you, do not read any further. If you have wide feet, read on!I am size 11 - 2E. These shoes are extremely lightweight, in fact they are the lightest shoes I have ever held or worn. The price for these is also really good! The reason I gave 3 stars is because for me, the size 11 shoe does not fit properly. Specifically: my foot slides into the shoe nicely, but the little 'sensory pads' on the bottom do not span across my entire foot pad. That is, by my arch, the 'sensory pads' are not placed in a wide enough space, and after 3 or so miles my ankles really hurt! So, if you have wide feet, buy with caution unless amazon starts selling these in wide sizes. Hope this helps! BTW: the New Balance MT10V is the best running/cross training/hiking shoe ever created for my 11 EE size feet! I'm going back to them now.

Rennsocke
Maximale Distanz in diesen Schuhen bisher 11km.
