Sniper MT4X20 Carry Handle Scope with BDC Turret Mil-Dot Reticle

Amazing scope installed on a pistol AR.Pros: Clear reticle, easy to install. (a surprising perk is that I am LEFT EYE DOMINANT/Right Hand Shooter and the scope mounts high enough on top of the carry handle rear sight that I can use my DOMINANT LEFT EYE while still shooting RIGHT HANDED),Cons: Only slightly ugh thing is the slightly smaller eye relief and small eye box. (I'd guess a little under 3" relief). And the ugh logo painted on the side. Two minor items that are not enough to knock a star off.Have not shot with but scope seemed to bore sight simple enough.Would def buy again and will consider adding scope to other AR platforms. The cool look factor is through the roof. Completely satisfied.

The Price is right and so far, a good low-cost optic.

Haven't shot with it yet, but already I notice the eye relief is far less than advertised. You have to get very close to it, which isn't ideal for a small carry handle scope as this means getting your head unnaturally far forward. Will add or delete a star pending use to see if it holds zero.

I mounted(mount worked fine) this scope to the carry handle on my Bushmaster AR with 20" barrel and sighted it in at the local gun club which has a 200 yard rifle range. The scope worked great, held zero just fine, excepting that the BDC itself was way off. I did contact the seller about this issue, asking for an exchange as I was quite satisfied with the scope otherwise. I wasn't sure how well that would pan out since it was past the 30 day return window, but they immediately sent me a replacement scope and a return label to send back my old scope. The replacement scope had the same model number except that if had an "L" on the end. I must assume they'd sent me the updated model which is illuminated. Turning the illumination dial will light up the mil-dot reticle in either red or green depending upon which way you turn the dial. Brightness is also adjustable though the lowest setting is pretty bright. The reticle is also different from the one I'd originally purchased as the center section is much thinner. I will add that the eye relief of the replacement seems better, a little more forgiving. Unfortunately, it is November,good range days are becoming more rare and I'm going to need a day off work to coincide with one of the good range days to put this piece of gear through it's paces and see how it performs. I will be revisiting this review at some point in the future with a range report. I am writing this now because I am quite impressed with the seller's commitment to customer service and to remark on how the manufacturer; Texas Precision Optics Inc., seems to read these reviews and improve their product based on feedback. They shrunk the Sniper logo which now adorns only one side of the scope and the reticle is now finer than it was. The scope covers, similar but superior to Butler Creek flip up covers, are a nice touch and spared me the aggravation of having to hunt a pair up so kudos to the manufacturer for that.

My biggest issue is that the reticle is canted & can't be corrected.Second issue is the rear lens cap interferes with the rear sight / carry handle.The mount is... OK but differs slightly from the original. But, it works.It's longer than the original too but there have been no claims that it was a copy so that's not a legitimate gripe.All that being said, if the reticle was straight, it would work as intended. It's clear with adjustable eye relief. Shipping was fast.I don't think it's allowed to mention names or other brands but if you are searching for a near identical copy of the original military version, but without the original flaws, keep shopping here on Amazon & read the reviews. You should find a very nice one for quite a bit less money. The only downside to the other is that it takes several weeks to arrive. But it's well worth the wait. I'm happy to answer questions.

Mounted this on the carry handle of my vintage Colt It is simple to mount. Good value for the money and it really helps with my weak eyes by providing cross hairs. Easy to adjust and keep good groupings. Highly recommend. Also bought SAVIOR soft case so I can keep mounted.

I used an original Colt carry handle scope back in the 1980's. This scope is a very close replica. It mounts the same, possibly even more securely than the Colt did, and the glass and reticle are clear and crisp. I had no problems sighting it in. The only negative is the white brand markings on both sides of the scope. I masked them off and painted them over with black enamel (auto touch-up paint). The scope caps are useable, but probably won't last too long.
