BEST IRON FOR SEWING
I sew bags, purses, and clothes. A dependable hot steam iron is an absolute necessity. For my last iron, I had a great little cordless iron. Only problem is it wouldn't get or stay quite hot enough, even though it had plenty of steam. My new Oliso in sunny yellow (yay!) gets REALLY hot. Hot enough to use on 100% cotton and actually get all the wrinkles out. It also has plenty of steam. I have noticed that it steams better when I keep the water filled close to the maximum level marked conveniently on the iron, so I keep it pretty full. I like the little filling cup it came with. I keep a gallon jug of tap water in my sewing room and pour it into the filling cup, which makes it super easy to get it into the iron with no spills. I live where the water is fairly hard, but tap water works great in this iron. I have occasionally seen it "spit" out little tiny pieces of what I assume is calcium from the hard water, but that is rare, and easily brushed off. Most irons I've ever owned have done this. One very good thing is that it NEVER leaks. I was lucky to get it at 20% off during Amazon days, but I would have bought it at full price if I had to. It works really well and I am glad I have it. Oh - almost forgot the best feature! I LOVE how it goes up and down at just a touch of my hand! If I'm ironing and have to stop, I can just let go of it and it rises up off of the fabric. No scorching, ever! And talk about convenience! When I take it off whatever I'm ironing, I just slide it to one side and let go. I don't have to lift it up and set it on its heel (although it will sit on its heel if you want it to). This is the best iron I've ever owned and I would recommend it to anyone.

oliso iron is a great product-well worth the price
I love this iron! I do alot of sewing and this iron handles all fabrics wonderfully. The auto lift feature is great for efficient use. To be honest, this purchase is replacing my previously owned oliso iron. I had to get the exact one without hesitation. My previous one had to have lasted, I am guessing 15 years, with alot of use.

Love love love!!!
Absolutely love this iron!! It works amazing and the feature of it raising after you release it is one of the reasons I bought this iron. My mom had one that we used a lot for sewing projects that went out after a lot of use and we both didn’t want to spend the extra initially but after using a regular iron for awhile we both broken down and bought one. The great quality of this iron was also a deciding factor. Only thing is the water seems need to be refilled a lot but that’s not a terrible issue as its stream works really well.

Great iron
Great iron! It takes a moment to get use to. As soon as you take your hand off the handle it lifts up. Steam worked when it gets hot. I do use the steam. The first Iron I recieved the steam stopped working when the resivor was half full. It would leave alot of water on my project. I ordered a replacement and it works great. I do love the iron. I also have the mini. I use them daily.

Works great - really hot iron
I just started quilting about a year ago and I bought a nice iron, but after seeing these at my quilt shop I knew I wanted one and when they were on sale for Prime Day I bought one. This iron is both fun and works so well - the hottest setting for cotton is hotter than my last iron - it really flattens the fabric and the steam setting works great - I leave that on the lowest setting and plenty of steam. It has a large reservoir so I haven’t had to refill it yet. The iron has 3 legs that retract when you touch the handle so you can iron, then when you set it down flat and let go, the legs pop back up and it props the iron off the surface of your ironing board. That takes a little getting used to, but I’m used to it now - for me it feels safer and less prone to falling off the ironing board accidentally. It’s really expensive - I wish it were about $50 less and I think they would sell a LOT more of these.

Two brand new Oliso
I ordered this iron for use in quilting and when it arrived and I set it up and filling the water reservoir,it heated up but did not produce steam. I had it set for cotton and maximum steam, and waited for the green light to stay lighted indicating it was fully warmed up. But no steam resulted. I tried this on two separate days with the same disappointing result with the brand new iron. So I contacted Oliso's customer service and they agreed it was defective and should be returned. I returned it to Amazon and arranged for it to be replaced. The replacement arrived, same model, and after setting it up, following the instructions both in the manual and as I was told by customer service, filling the water reservoir, setting it to cotton and maximum steam, it had the identical defect and same disappointing result -- it failed to produce any steam both when being used to iron and with the blast steam button when held vertically. So it likewise is being returned. This occurred again with this top of the line model, despite the Oliso's assertion that it checks each iron before they leave the factory. I will proceed with another brand iron, which will be less tricked out with special features but which, hopefully, will work well with its basic iron function.

Great iron until it's not working
I bought the pink Oliso iron in May of 2022. I never put water in it and used a spray bottle the entire time to hopefully make the iron last longer. The lift portion won't run anymore. It was fine one day and the next it stopped working. I totally babied this iron because I did really enjoy using it and wanted it to last. I wish I used the steam feature now since it was going to stop working after 3 years. I liked using this iron a lot. But can't see spending another $200 on an iron that lasts 3 or so years. Hope this helps.

Nice it
It’s got the auto raise feature which is cool. But it is a large iron and not easy to store in regular storage racks for irons.

This iron is a joy to use. I got the pink version and it’s just the prettiest iron ever. The lifter feet are amazing and didn’t take very long to get used to (leaving it in the horizontal position). It gets very hot and is a nice weight. I am keeping this as a dry iron to make it hopefully last longer. Just keep a spray bottle of water nearby if steam is needed. The cord is looong which is great. I haven’t noticed any scorching of my ironing board from the iron being lifted, but I recommend turning the iron off if you will not be using it for awhile, just to be safe. It heats back up again fairly quickly so you’re not waiting too long. The sole plate is very smooth and glides nicely. I haven’t noticed any build up yet so I can’t say how easy it will be to clean. Perhaps the tip could be a bit pointier, as it is only rounded, but it still works to open seams flat. It is a large iron, so it’s great for pressing yardage and long seams. I also have the mini version, which is better for the inside of bags and smaller projects. Obviously, you need to keep your hand on the handle otherwise it will lift up. There is no option to turn off the auto lift (a feature that was on previous versions). This means that if you want to leave the iron in one spot for a really good press you can’t remove your hand like on a regular iron. That’s a bit annoying, but I’ll get used to it. There is a silicone sole protector available, but it’s sold separately, which is kind of lame for such an expensive iron. I will probably purchase it in the future just to have and to protect the sole plate should it somehow get knocked off the ironing board. I love that this iron is available on Amazon for a pretty good price and is Prime shipped. The cost to buy from Oliso in the US is astronomical, especially once taxes and shipping are added. If you’ve been on the fence about this iron, I’d say go for it!

I recently purchased the Oliso TG1600 Pro Plus SmartIron and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The 1800 watt power provides a fast and efficient ironing experience, making even the toughest wrinkles disappear in no time. What sets this iron apart from others is the Auto Lift feature which raises the iron off the surface when not in use, preventing scorching and providing a safer experience. The steam controls are intuitive and easy to use, and the adjustable steam output allows me to customize the amount of steam to suit my needs. The iron heats up quickly and the temperature is consistent throughout use, providing professional-level results every time. The soleplate glides smoothly over my clothes, preventing any snagging or pulling, and the built-in water tank ensures that I never run out of steam in the middle of ironing. Overall, I highly recommend the Oliso TG1600 Pro Plus SmartIron to anyone looking for a top-of-the-line ironing experience. With its powerful performance, innovative design, and user-friendly features, it's a 5-star product that truly delivers.

so far so good, steams well, like feature that it will shut off in 12 hour if you forget to turn off/unplug, nice iron but not sure if the price is really worth it for casual sewing and regular laundry needs. My Philips Elance lasted for over 15 years and it was much less$wise . The only thing it lacked was the automatic off but steam generation and heat was just as superior.
