Optical Toslink Female to Male Mini Gold Plated (L-Shape) Adapter

I purchased this for hooking up an HP laptop with optical SPDIF output to a receiver for watching TV shows online. It has worked flawlessly for over 50 insertions on the male end. The female end is semi-permanently attached to the cable. For others looking to use this the same way, at least on WinXP, the speaker volume in the Windows control panel should be set at or near 100% for correct sound levels.

Removed the protective caps, plugged into my MacBook Pro, worked perfectly. I have unplugged/plugged this adapter daily for several weeks with no issues to report.
