Idk if it’s worth the money but it’s a spectacular head unit. Of course the screen is a little laggy but that’s because you’re not supposed to be messing with it while you drive anyway. Audio quality and EQ are superb and Apple CarPlay works great if your phone and charger are both not janky in the slightest, if they are I recommend buying a cheap adapter to make your CarPlay wireless and a separate charger.

I have always used Pioneer head units for the past 20 years and they have never let me down! Great unit for car if you want to upgrade to Apple car play. Works great, sounds great, looks great and has all the hookups on the back that you need.

My experience with the Pioneer MVH-AV251BT headunit: Shipping: Unit arrived quickly in great condtion. Unit was well-packaged. Unit did not come with a full users' manual. Installation: Unit installation went smoothly. Standardized color coding of the wiring harness matched the color coding of my in-dash adapter kit, so wiring it went quickly. I only had two issues. 1) the Parking Brake wire, which must be connected to access a number of the units' menu features, was a new thing for me. 2) I needed an adapter to connect a previously installed in-dash mic. Both issues were easy to resolve. Appearance: Unit is sleek and smooth, with back-lit physical control buttons just below the touch screen. Touch screen has a glossy finish rather than matte, so light reflecting from it may be an issue for some. Operation: Easy to learn how to operate, though I needed to download the full Users' Manual PDF to learn some of the advanced features. Touch screen display is bright and easy to read. Menus are easy to navigate through. Sounds great regardless of the audio source. Android Auto implementation is flawless, even when using a USB wireless adapter. I've only run into one minor issue in setting the unit up to suit my preferences: adding a custom image for the background. Instructions for loading an image into the unit (pg. 45-46 of the manual) and setting the image as background (pg. 82 of the manual) are listed separately, and far enough apart in the manual that they need to be cross-referenced within the text of the manual, but are not. Overall, a high-quality unit. I look forward to many years of enjoyment of it. I'd give it a full 5 stars, but for the lack of a printed Users' Manual, which I'd expect for a unit in this price range.

Was easy to install and easy to use. I loved it before i sold my car. would definitely buy again.
