I have a family of avid readers. We recently moved into a house large enough for me to set up a dedicated reading area. I ordered a set of two of these because the price was very good. The quality is quite nice especially for the cost. They were pretty simple to build with my husband guiding our 13 yr old son in putting them together. It took maybe an hour with them goofing around and having fun to build both. There were no issues with missing pieces or misaligned holes - both issues I have had often recently while trying to furnish a house on a budget. The shelves look good and are exactly as described. I like how tall and sturdy they are. The color isn't quite gray but more a dark wash on the wood which was fine for my purpose. Having filled the shelves, I'm seriously considering getting another set of these. I'm living my childhood dream of having my own little library with these shelves.

Great little shelf!
Nice shelf for a smaller space. Was kinda tricky to put together, but it’s doable with two people. Seems pretty sturdy and looks nice.

Looks nice when completed!
The instructions were pretty easy to follow. Next to last step was a tad confusing but able to figure it out. Put entire thing together and anchored to wall and I am not usually the one in our house to put items together. It is pretty sturdy and has a neat look to its finish.I am using to store photo albums and pictures. Be sure to measure your photo albums first as most of mine won't fit standing up they way they are supposed to because they are too tall so had to lay them on their sides. Thought I measured the tallest one but I was wrong. Fit perfect where I wanted it to go!

Pleasantly surprised
I wanted a taller bookshelf to store my books in as I do a LOT of reading and this one looked like it would work. The price is lower than what I've seen on others and I'm not rich, so I took a shot at it hoping that it would be serviceable. I am very pleasantly surprised. First off, it arrived two days earlier than expected and was packed very well with the shelf pieces very well protected. The instructions are mostly diagrams with a small amount of wording, but were easy to follow - didn't run into anything that I didn't understand. By myself it took me about two hours to assemble - others may be a bit faster but I wasn't in a hurry and I've messed up things before and had to redo them. The pieces and hardware fit together well - no issues there. It is a taller shelf so I would definitely recommend using the tipover restraint piece included. The construction seems sturdy and I like the fact that the back pieces fit into grooves (not nailed on as you find in other lower cost shelves) and there are also bracers included to install behind the back pieces - first time I have seen that in shelves in this price range. I bought the black shelves and I love the look. These shelves are perfect for storing my books and I can see where they would look great pretty much anywhere. I actually liked it so much that I bought a second one that was also delivered early and had no issues with that one either. All in all, I would say this is a very good item and even moreso considering the price. Very satisfied with this product.

Cheap but great!
These honestly are pretty great. They are decent quality and went together very easily. Took me maybe 40 minutes for each shelf to put together by myself, and once together are very sturdy. They are a little smaller than I thought (make sure you read the size listed) as I assumed they were going to be closer in size to my ikea billy bookcase. They are lightweight but not flimsy, and you can easily move them with one person when empty. Please note that they DO NOT have adjustable shelves, but the shelf height is perfect for all of my books, and my taller ones, and should fit a variety of items besides books.I love how the back paneling slides into the structure as you build it versus being nailed on like most build shelves. The anchor that comes with it is not one I've ever seen before, so maybe buy your own anchor, as well as it only came with one anchor per shelf instead of two.But it came with everything you need to put it together and with extra screws just in case, and I love how fhey look. Overall great buy for my small apartment 😌

"Easy to Assemble" is relative, I guess, but it wasn't the nightmare that some shelves can be.
It is a strong and attractive shelf. We needed a slender shelf with narrow shelf depth or an area that wouldn't be blocking a passage way. The thicker closet we replaced made it harder for individuals in wheelchairs to get through to the accessible bathrooms in the non-profit we run.My husband has a chronic habit of dumping everything he doesn't know what to do with, in the middle of our work/cook stations that we can't have cluttered. So this is his 'dump shelf' where he can put things until we figure out where to organize them in our existing storage space. Man has it made a huge difference for us.It came with two shelf sets, and rather nebulous assembly instructions. All of the pieces needed were there with a couple of extras in case of loss. The various pieces are labeled A, B, C etc in the diagram but no labels are on the various pieces, so one does have to pay attention that they have the right part. We had one mishap where the wrong shelf was used but it was easy enough to remove it and replace it with the correct board. So not the best instructions, but still fairly easy to figure out where the pieces go in the assembly processOne thing that was particularly impressive, IMO, is the back boards of the shelves. They are sturdy and slide into tracks in the side and shelf boards. It's not that cheesy paperboard that covers the back of most shelves like this.
