Love it! Better than expected!
It arrived with a castor wheel section which had popped off, which came off again later, but, apart from that...... I like it! A lot!At last, a shredder which can cope with more than around 3 sheets of normal, average, everyday kind of paper which we actually shred, not the thin 80gsm stuff the manufacturers seem to think we use. Previously, I have had domestic shredders over the years which eventually give up, but only ever used those on an occasional basis for a very small number of sheets to shred, unlike now, where I have a need for one which will cope with daily use to shred older records. So, taking that into account, it takes less than 16 sheets of 'normal' paper, on average, I was feeding 10 A4 sheets of old reports, bank statements etc. Any more without overloading and it slows down a bit, as they all do, so productivity is also slowed, so personally, that's the number which kept me on the go.The shredder looks good, has a sliding lid to hide or reveal the feeding slot and controls. It is very quiet and has a large waste bin with a viewing panel to see how full it's getting. I preferred to empty it well before the full container warning light illuminated, as it was easier and less messy. I haven't tried the waste bags which are supposed to fit from another source. I found it easier to empty into a giant tub and when that was fuller, into a recycling bag for household collection. I found a cd and noticed it was shredded into many pieces with ease as was a credit card in the dedicated slot and with a most satisfying noise too, nearly as satisfying as pushing glass bottles through the hole at the bottle bank, but that's maybe a personal thing of mine.As the shredder is getting used on a near daily basis with a decent amount of paper, maybe the equivalent of a ream or two of printed paper, the occasional stapled sheets but definitely not 60 minutes of continuous work, I have used the oiled sheets to keep it lubricated. I'll probably switch to just using the oil, if the workload continues to be daily. All in all, I am pleased with the shredder.

Faster than some
Quite impressed with the shredder. It does do the 16 pages at once but obviously slower than 1 page but not so much it is tedious; I typically put in ~12 pages at once and hence don't have to count them, and can use it continuously. Like all shredders the output piles up in the bin and can prematurely trigger the bin full sign, which stops the unit, but the bin can be shaken for more use if you don't feel like emptying it. The small entrance slot can be useful, but it can also catch the corner of paper when you're trying to put that in the main slot. Overall am very pleased. We are giving it really heavy usage at times, and it seems to cope with the 1 hour of use, and 40 minutes cooling time.

BIG!
Buy shredder oil with it at the same time! ***DOES NOT COME PRE LUBRICATED!!! *** It's BIG. Needed for a home that uses cd\dvd for backup purposes rather than an office \ home office as no shredders now come with disk slots. (which is a mistake in my opinion). The cutters are rated for only one hundred discs which sucks a little at this price range. But easy to use and so far no problem with it. Castors seem ok and look like they can be removed from the bin if needed.Overall I can't complain about the quality of the shredding. So far 25 to 50 sheets of various thickness and coatings without issues.

Eats paper no hiccups!
During third lockdown decided to sort out our loft. Discovered boxes and boxes of old papers that needed sorting through, resulting in the vast majority requiring shredding.Soon realized our current shredder not built for the task in hand.Took my time and researched the best value for money machine.Required not too expensive machine that can cross cut many sheets of paper in one go with ease, long running time, large waste bin. This machine hasn't disappointed does all I asked for. Love the sliding top which turns machine on and reveals the wide paper feed mouth and controls. When shut leaves flat top.To empty pull out the bin from the front, I then put black bin bag over top of bin and turn it upside down to empty into bin bag.The machine arrived very well packaged but with a warning label to apply shredder oil before use. This led to more research and discovered the WD40 I have applyed to the cutters of our previous small shredder definitely not a good idea.Ordered shredder oil straightaway, then decided to wait till arrived before using our new machine. To conclude:- purchased January 2021 on special offer for £167:93. Just purrs through 10 sheets of paper in one go, can do up to 16 sheets but like to keep well within design limits. Can just keep going but I normally need a rest after three quarters of an hour!

Some safety hints
This replaces an earlier model that didn't have the ability to destroy computer disks. I loved the old one, it was neater somehow in appearance. This new one is chunkier but it will take more paper at a time and doesn't get hot on continuous use. Sound wise it is a little noisier but if you are shredding, does that really matter.I had several disks to destroy and hadn't know what to do with them so this extra feature is a bonus, however the machine has a tendency to spit out jagged bits of disk. It can fling up in several directions and the first time it did it I was petrified & glad I was wearing glasses. So I wouldn't let kids use it and I'd wear sunglasses as protection if you don't have eye glasses and don't get too close. Also when emptying, the crunched disks are electrically pretty static and come up to meet you. Best thing is to have a bin bag that you can place over the bin and upturn to keep anything from escaping. I found topping with some shredded paper before emptying helped. One design feature I do not like is the fact you have to have two hands to slide the machine's top open for use. Not everyone has two arms/hands / my dad being one - do a little thoughtless.
