Great layer of added security
Easy to install , just add 2 AAA batteries and stick. I had a problem at first finding the magnetic side of the little attachment that triggers the main unit , but after attaching it to any metal I fixed the problem and re put it on my door .

Graet value alarms
Works to alarm exterior door and windows. Window adhesion is fine. Adhesion to painted door frame molding could be better.

Could be louder
The media could not be loaded. Product is great. I placed them on my window that has a fire escape to scare off a potential intruder. I feel like it will get the job done if that ever happens. Thanks!

Pretty good for the money
Work pretty good for the money easy to install

Eh
They work fine, but because of their size and shape they don't actually fit on any windows in my towns apartment complexes and I doubt they would work in a dorm room. If they were smaller, or the magnets were a little more forgiving, I might have kept them.

Great value for money, use tape because no adhesive can handle this task
As others have mentioned, the adhesive on these is too weak for the job. That said, if it were any stronger, it'd strip the paint or grain off the doorframe, so there's no easy answer. The reality is that the process of inserting/removing the chip each time you want to open/shut will cause the adhesive to fail....maybe in the middle of the night! This is easily avoided by just using some clear plastic tape to make sure either side doesn't fall off the doorway/window/etc. If you're placing on a doorway, make sure to practice placing BOTH sides of the unit, as what makes sense while the door is closed suddenly doesn't work when the door is swinging open. The magnet is sensitive, so the two pieces need to be DIRECTLY next to each other when armed. More than ~2-3 inches away and it'll start to go off.

Waste of time and money
I discovered how useless these were when I woke up the other morning. I sleep in my bedroom with the door shut, and the alarm was on a front window. I opened my bedroom door to go to the kitchen and never heard the alarm going off until after I opened my door and walked out and discovered that the sticky tape did not hold and one half of the unit had fallen off the window. I have no idea how long it was going off because it did not alert me at all. I didn't hear it in my bedroom, and I have a small house. You might think that when you turn the alarm on when its in your hand that it sounds loud enough, but don't let that fool you. You only hear it because it's in your hand. Try trying it on and going into another room and closing the door and see how well you hear it.I need an alarm much much louder apparently. The other issue with these is, they didn't fit my windows. There is too much of a lip between the window and side of window(wall) and they can't line up properly on my windows.

Batteries are not included as it states.
Doesn’t go well on my basement sliding windows and don’t know if it works because batteries are not included as it states that they are. Update after I order batteries now

Not useful
The product works as far as an alarm when the magnets lose connection but, it has a silly way of arming it. A key is pulled out of the top and then it's armed. If the key is lost or in a spot you can't Renner when waking up to an alarm, it can be a bad situation. I would prefer a switch or button in place of this. Also, I had the key out so it was armed, and in the middle of the night it just started beeping so I had to out the key back in anyway. Really dumb.

Too quiet to be of any use
110dB? That's a flat out lie! Nothing close. Can barely be heard behind a closed door. They should at least have a 5-10 second delay before activating to avoid being annoying. Not that that really matters since they are so quiet anyway.
