I've know about this for many years. It was a staple with my elderly clients in the beauty salon because of how well it works. Who knew 25 years later it would be a staple in my husband's hair care routine. And he always gets compliments on his hair. If your "greys" have turned yellow - you need to add this to your hair care routine. Fresh scent and leaves his hair super soft. You only need to use it a couple times a week with your regular shampoo and conditioner and you will be satisfied. Rinses out clean so need to panic over the blue color.

I've been using this shampoo for years on my silver grey hair. It keeps it from turning brassy. But it does leave a light purple pigment on the hair. I think it depends on how porous your hair is. I like the purple tint.. it's very subtle.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My husband has a headful of beautiful white hair. Every so often, it turns kind of yellow. This shampoo gets rid of the yellow completely and lets the white shine. He only needs it about once a month or so, so it does last for a long time. If he uses it for more than a single shampoo, his hair turns purple so only once and his hair looks great!

I'm not sure what I expected when my stylist told me to start using Purple Shampoo & Conditioner as we work on fading my my original hair into my new white-silver hair - but I sure didn't expect that particular color of purple. The first time I used it, my shower walls looked like a blueberry explosion had happened. Sort of reminded me of the color of Violet after she ate the gobstopper from the Chocolate Factory. Luckily the purple spots that got on the towel washed right out and my hands also looked fine after a good cleansing - I really was worried that it would stain my hands.Also, since I didn't read reviews beforehand, I'm really glad that my product didn't explode during shipment - the bottles actually had strong tape across the top.I'm not sure yet how well it is working since I've only been using it for about a week now. However, the smell is a bit awful IMO, but not so bad to cause me to stop using the product. Time will tell on that.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:My mom has the most beautiful silver hair however due to the water And whatever minerals it has, her hair has been turning yellow on the side. She's tried other purple shampoos before and it honestly turned her hair a little purple color. This was super easy to use and ever since she's used it even the first try the yellow was already starting to go away. Highly recommend!

My hair is naturally white/silver and this shampoo makes it shiny and manageable. I'm often asked what product I use to achieve this color. Only use it once every 3rd wash to achieve results, so a little goes a long way. I've been using it for years and love it.

I like how my hair feels after using this. But the chemical smell is overpowering . I am very sensitive to chemical fragrances and this gives me a headache. The fragrance lingers for hours. I'm going to have to throw both the shampoo and conditioner away.
