Orientation of Magnet with respect to fixing clip (for fixing at Airvent) is wrong - what is shown in Amazon website and what is received is opposite- see my picture. This means Magnet can not be taken upwards, because the fixing clip can not arrest at the Airvent firmly in such situation. Which further means magnet has to be kept towards bottom if clip has to be arrested firmly. In my car I can not do that due to shape of dashboard. I purchased this item looking at website picture (see enclosed comparison) but unfortunately what I received is opposite to website. Pls note the clip or magnet can not be rotated with respect to each other. Pls check your dashboard orientation before buying.

I have been using it in 3 of my cars for 2-3 years and never had any issues. This is the best phone mount ever with minimalistic look.

This phone holder fits my needs. The magnet is powerful and it prevents the phone from falling off its stand even when hitting potholes. The multiple adhesive metal plates included allow me to use the holder with my other phone. Also, the phone holder provides various mounting options to minimize obstructing the air vent to which it is mounted. I recommend this product. It is well thought out.

Update: I am now on my third holder in three years. In short, this fits my needs and functions perfectly!!! Durability is not in the same level. In my previous car I had a suction mount that periodically detached when the car temp was too high. My new car doesn’t have a space for a suction mount, so I was forced to seek an alternative. I know it’s not a major purchase, but it is a matter of convenience, so I did my research and landed on this mount. Originally, I was concerned about blocking a vent. The ability to rotate the swing arm addresses that. I also don’t like the idea of my phone sticking up really high above the dash...no problems there either, again, because of the swing arm. The ability to hook onto and tighten the mount to the vent louvre ensures the mount stays put. Finally, the magnet is the perfect strength. I attached the circular metal piece directly to my pop top, which is affixed to phone case. I was initially concerned the strength of the magnet would require an amount of force to detach the phone that I would either detach my pop top or pull off the mount, or worse, the louvre. No issues at all. I’m always amazed when I’m exiting the car and simply snatch my phone off the mount with no issue. This was a perfect solution for my needs!

I love the vent attachment mechanism, it makes for a secure fit with no chance of accidental removal. The extension above the vent is great as it lets heat/cool get to me instead of harming my phone and also puts my phone at an eye level that is easier to view without taking my eyes off the road. The only downside is that the extension arm wobbles quite a bit.
