Excellent Carving Board for the Price
Considering the price, this is an excellent carving board — boards from specialty sites can cost four or five times as much. I have a large cutting board that I use for prep (chopping veggies, meat, etc.), and I bought this board to supplement it. I intend to use it only for carving cooked meats and poultry, as the groove will capture the delicious juices and prevent them from running all over my counter. (Unlike this board, my other board does not have a juice groove, nor would I want a groove on a board used mainly for chopping veggies, etc.).The quality of the Boos board is very high. It's made of solid kiln-dried edge grain rock maple, an ideal wood for carving boards. (End grain would be a better choice for a board that will be used for chopping as it is easier on knife edges, but for slicing and carving it doesn't make much difference.)The Boos board is also quite substantial and very well constructed, in my opinion, and I have to question claims that it is prone to splitting. I suspect that many of those complaints are due to damage in shipping or to improper care of the board (e.g., putting it in the dishwasher or letting it soak in the sink). Wash it quickly after use with a mild detergent, rinse it well, dry it thoroughly, oil it from time to time with food-grade mineral oil, and it should last for years.

Beautiful and perfect size
I was leary of ordering from a company not backed by amazon. This company was great. Something happened to my order (problem with shipping label stuff) and they knew on their end. They mailed me another board pretty fast. My cutting board is perfect and a great size for my needs.

High quality!!!
Wow! This is a HIGH quality product! Ordered this before Xmas as I needed a smaller cutting board. Loved this as it was a good size—not too small, not too big. This one has two usable sides which is fantastic. Love the little hole to more easily handle this or hold it in place while cutting. This board is HEAVY!!!! Even as small as it is. It’s shockly heavy which indicates the true nature of real natural wood.Made in America too! I love that most.I am replacing all plastic in the kitchen and while I had to wait 6 weeks for this, it was worth it.I highly recommend this product. Yes buy it and wait for it.Great little board that we will have for years to come!!!!!!!!

Terrible product, wouldn’t recommend!
Terrible, terrible quality. 110% wouldn’t recommend. 6 months in, had a big split. Contacted customer service and they refused a replacement or refund. Fast forward another year and now it has 6 cracks that go across both sides of the board. Has to be the cheapest quality cutting board I have ever had, even old $10 cutting boards last years and years But this one is $100+ and doesn’t last a year. Terrible product!!

Beautiful Boos Block
I purchased am amazon deal Boos block and it is in immaculate condition. Soon as i got it i oiled it all up and now we are using to its fullest capacity. No other wood cutting boards stand up to the quality of a Boos Block. Outstanding quality and perfection.

Good, but developed a small crack
Like everything about it except that it developed a small crack within 2 days. The first thing I did when opening the package was to oil it, but it still cracked. I hope that it doesn't get any worse or I'll have to take it down another star. At this point it's still quite functional, and since Colorado tends to be short on humidity, it's hard on most wood products, so I give it the benefit of the doubt.
