My son was super happy when he opened his shiny Medieval Helmet Christmas morning. He immediately put the helmet on - it was too big. He said he was going to have to order an Arming Cap Pad. I told him to keep digging in the box. Perfect fit - very happy :)

Of decent enough size for a smaller-headed individual, but simply did not fit over my head. The material is comfortable, and not overly thin, exactly. Would probably work fine with a helmet. Without a helmet however, this simply did not fit me. It'd look kind of ridiculous, and 'sits' more on the head than it does actually wrap around it due to my the size issue.

First it's not the item pictured. What I got was all tan, not white, pointed, not rounded, and huge, not normal size. Mine went to the bottom of my ears vs a normal cap that stops about the top of the ear. I would return it by not worth my time.

Quality seems nice, but it doesn't fit my head at all. It's like a child's arming cap.

I bought my cap at a much lower price. At that price I had no complaints. It fits like a yamaka, it doesn't come down very far which is fine for what I use it for ( to make my fencing mask fit more snugly ). I would not machine wash it, only hand wash. At that I don't expect a long life span, which was not a problem at the former price but at a higher price not a good deal.

This is a basic arming cap and works well for my German Sallet. I don't know how period it looks but it works great for my re-ennacment. Sturdy and thick, it will protect you from light blows. You will require better padding on your helmet than just this if you plan to take some heavy blows. This is a good strting point for LARP or just plain costuming.

Very soft and fit as expected. I also ordered head chain mail. Recommended if using chainmail.
