About three months after moving from Japan to the United States, I suddenly started experiencing serious skin issues. In Japan, using a hydrating toner (lotion) is an essential step in skincare, but I had a very hard time finding something similar in the U.S. After trying many products, this toner was exactly what I had been looking for. Despite being very affordable, it provides deep and reliable hydration, and when followed by a moisturizer to seal it in, it perfectly recreates the skincare routine that Japanese skin is used to. I am truly grateful that an American product allows me to maintain this kind of skincare so effectively and at such a great value. The results have been impressive. It actually works better than the $50+ toners I used to use before. The texture is light yet deeply moisturizing, absorbs beautifully, and leaves my skin feeling calm, balanced, and well-prepared for moisturizer. One bottle lasts a surprisingly long time—around six months for me—which makes the cost performance outstanding. Combined with a cream, my skin stays soft, plump, and hydrated, even in a much drier climate. This toner has become an essential part of my daily skincare routine, and I can honestly say this was a very good purchase. I highly recommend it, especially to anyone with dry or sensitive skin, or to those who appreciate a Japanese-style skincare approach.

This stuff is the bees knees. I have very sensitive skin and heat sensitive melasma so I have to use gentle products. I went from The Ordinary 7% toner to this one. Its a world of difference. It is alcohol free, it doesn't burn or irritate. Has hyaluronic acid and Niacinamide for hydration. It leaves my face feeling fresh out of the shower. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a effective and gentle toner. This brand rocks.

I’m a big fan of CeraVe products, and this toner is no exception. It’s super gentle, affordable, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I love that a little goes a long way!! I just pour a few drops into my left hand and press it into my face with my right hand. With how little I need each time, this bottle will probably last me forever, which makes the price even better! I also use a bunch of other CeraVe products (SA body wash/lotion, foaming cleanser, micellar water, AM/PM moisturizers, etc.) and recommend them to anyone looking for effective but gentle skincare. That being said, there are a couple of downsides. First, the tamper seal design is pretty pointless…sure, you can’t flip open the little hinge cap before removing it, but you can easily unscrew the whole top with the seal still perfectly intact. Not a huge deal, but it doesn’t exactly scream “secure.” Also, it does take a few minutes to fully dry down on my skin, which makes it less convenient for my rushed mornings. Because of that, I usually only use this toner at night and stick with my Paula’s Choice pore-reducing toner in the morning (love it, but it’s definitely pricier). Overall, this is a great, budget-friendly hydrating toner for normal to dry skin. If you don’t mind waiting a couple of minutes for it to absorb, it’s definitely worth picking up!

I have sensitive, acne prone skin at age 46. I use adapalene for my acne and it drys my skin out to the point it's flaky. I started using this a week ago and noticed a difference overnight. It is hydrating and makes my skin feel smooth. I use a cotton ball to apply it. It takes a couple of minutes to complete dry due to the hydrating effect. It can feel sticky until dry. Once dry. It has not caused any additional breakouts, which makes me very very happy! I apply my daily face moisturizer and am good to go. This toner is fantastic and I will continue buying. Just remember to be patient and let it dry.

My fave trick with this is: After my makeup is set, I use this toner on a cotton round and gently dab it all over my face & neck. It sets the makeup, PLUS makes my face look "fresh, natural & non powdery." Great stuff, so thanks!
