Oxo, Clips Magnetic All Purpose

A little bigger than I thought they would be but they do just what they are meant to do. Easy to use, good color assortment, strong, good grip.

these Oxo magnetic clips have quickly become the MVPs of my kitchen snack stash. They’re no-frills and fuss-free, designed to keep your chip bags sealed and your snack game on point. I haven’t uncovered any groundbreaking new uses for them (no, they’re not doubling as coat hooks or mini vises in my DIY workshop), but that’s kind of the point: they’re refreshingly straightforward. The magnets on the back are a nice bonus, sticking to the fridge with just enough strength to hold a shopping list or a single bag of tortilla chips. And let’s be real—sometimes you just need a reliable clip that does its one job without trying to be everything else. These little workhorses do exactly that—clip, stick, repeat.

I purchased these to use as money clips for cash transactions at work. I also clip together all of the cash for the deposit while I’m reconciling the day’s financials. That way I don’t lose any money if I’m having a clumsy day. Best feature is that they’re well constructed. I’ve used a bunch of clips that felt like they were going to break apart the first time I used them. Some of them did. These ones feel solid, like they’re one whole unit, and the parts all move smoothly and cohesively together. Besides that 🤔... they have a good grip, I suppose. For my purposes, anyway. Pretty sure they would hold a bag of chips closed quite well, too. The magnets aren’t rare-earth Super strong, but they do hold the weight of the clips with no problems. I haven’t tried hanging anything up with them, so I’m not sure how much more weight they can support, if any. And the colors are eye catching, but not so loud that they hurt your eyes. Just bright enough so they’re easy find if I drop them. lol

These clips look great and do exactly what you want them to...hold your food containers closed. The magnets seem to fall out easily, but the core functionality is holding things closed, not sticking to stuff.

Pro: These 4 in a package white magnetic clips are too small to hold anything up other than a standard 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet of copy paper that I use for reading a recipe. I hang it on the refrigerator for ease of reading while I'm preparing a meal. It's fine for that purpose, and stores nicely on the side of my refrigerator in easy reach. They are not designed for holding a bag of chips, so look elsewhere if that's what you want. The magnets are small, and perfect for my purposes, quite sturdy, and comfortable to use. They close firmly on small bags and using two of them will work nicely for large bags of chips or bread. I appreciate not having to dig through kitchen drawers to find one. I also like the neutral color of white so it's a 5 star rating for me and highly recommend them! Con: I would appreciate a stronger magnet, but I've never found one that wouldn't slide down any metal surface in this shape and size. I don't see the need to hang a bag of chips on anything, but if that's what you want them for I do not recommend them. I hope that helps folks decide if these are what they need.
