Vivite Vibrance Therapy, 1-Ounce Pump

I started using this 2 yrs ago @ age 32 when I told my local skin clinic about my uneven combination skin. I tend to get oily on the forehead and nose & dry on my cheeks. On top of all this my forehead for whatever reason gets darker in the summer than the rest of my face! I was already using Vivite facial cleanser/scrub & love it! Sidetrack- the best facial scrub ever created! Everyone has to try this product at least once! The scrub evened out my scruffy spots and kept my face from breaking out from time to time. Before the age of 30 I didn't even bother with my skin. I washed it with hand soap and living in Seattle never occurred to me to use sun screen. So after consulting with my local skin/laser people (and always make sure they have a real live, working doctor running the place!) I am currently using the Vivite facial scrub, Vivite Vibrance lotion & the Tizo3 tinted sun screen (in place of makeup!).During this time I have been carded many times buying alcoholic drinks & yes, even lottery tickets! I have always had an older appearance- @ 16 people always thought I was twenty something, now @ 34 people think I'm in my twenties. If that isn't results then I don't know what is!

The product was very yellow and had an odd odor. I'm not sure if the product was genuine. Unfortunately, I have broken out in hives all over my face. Had to get a shot and steroid therapy......right when I am trying to lose weight for my wedding! It has been two weeks and despite taking antihistimes and steroid pills, I still have red swollen spots on my face! I have never experienced such a reaction. Stick with Obagi from your Dermatologist! If anyone has suggestions for my red, swollen and itchy face, I would greatly appreciate them as I would like to get this resolved before my April wedding!!!

I bought this product in order to treat some sun damage ( brown spots ) on my face and to avoid hydroquinone.I have been using it for only four days and already the spots look lighter and my skin looks better and more translucent. Even my doctor of 12 years told me today that I must be feeling better because my skin and eyes looked "clearer " than he remembers in years ! ( I am 46 )The only downside ( and this could be a coincidence ) is that my skin feels a bit dry ( it doesn't look dry ) but it feels dry....it was also too harsh for my undereyes so I pat it around the eye socket but not on the under eye area itself.

I purchased Vivite Vibrance after reading a review in a magazine that stated the product was more effective than hydroquinone in helping fade brown spots. In addition, since I had heard that hydroquinone was no longer sold in Europe due to safey concerns, I decided to give Vivite a try. Upon squeezing the product out of the pump, I noticed an unplesant smell which was reminiscent of the smell of sulfur. In addition, the brownish color did not appeal to me. I still decided to give the product a try but only on my neck and chest. In the past, I have tried to use Retin-A on those areas but it was much too irritating, even at the lowest strenght. Therefore, I thought Vivite would be gentler because it sold without a prescription. Unfortunaly, I have found this product to be irritating. In addition, it has caused breakouts. I have stopped using Vivite and started to use it again just to make sure the irritation and break outs were not caused by other factors but they were not; my skin could not tolerate this product. I then decided to mix Vivite with Retin-A to try to counteract the blemish forming effect; Blemishes still appeared. Finally, I went ahead and tried the product on my hands where I knew I would not get pimples. The product was irritating but I still gave it shot because my goal was to reduce the appearance of brown spots. Unfortunately, that did not work. Moreover, the product is very expensive and came in a set of two so I am now stuck with a full pump and half of one. Disappointing, to say the least.

I was thrilled to see Vivite Vibrance Therapy offered on Amazon at half the price my dermatologist charges for it. It really works to diminish brown spots and lighten the skin. However, in the last 6 months, I received two bottles ordered through Amazon, one from Abzoo and one from Forever Young Beauty, with defective pumps. No amount of thumping would allow more than a drop of the product out of the bottle. Ever the optimist, I will try one more bottle. BTW, Abzoo replaced the broken bottle with another but it took 6 weeks to get it. Unlike Abzoo, Forever Young Beauty cannot be contacted directly but I spoke with Amazon and will be given a credit for the defective bottle. In both cases, I had to return the defective bottle.
