ODOR-CLO2 Chlorine Dioxide Odor Removal

Be extremely cautious when using this! I wore a chemical respirator and goggles when setting it up and the smell was still overwhelming and potentially dangerous. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BREATHE IN THE GAS! It starts reacting instantly and no readily available equipment will protect you from it. Hold your breath, dump it in water and RUN don't look back or delay for anything.I used the entire bag for a 1200sqft apartment and it worked very well for removing the old pet/mildew smell. I set it up in a 5 gallon bucket with an air stone by the intake to the HVAC system and let it circulate for 24 hours. After 24 hours the smell is still very strong so I'd recommend having a chemical respirator for going in to open windows, at that point it was weak enough the respirator could handle it. But strong enough you don't want to breathe it.There was a faint residual chlorine smell for about a week that was very pleasant in my opinion but is now completely gone.I did the treatment about 5 months ago and it's permanently removed about 95% of the smell. It's good enough for me but I'm pretty sure if I did another treatment it would completely take care of it.

Purchased a used car that had a smoke smell. I had the car fully detailed and spent a small fortune on ozone and was still left with a smell that would reappear when the car sat in the sun. The ozone did seem to clear the vent system out, but I needed to find something that would get the rest of the smell out of the upholstery.Ozone made me nervous with the possible break down of rubber, electronics and leather, so I did only 2 hours of ozone (though detailer said I needed to do 3-4) and didn't want to do it again for fear of running the interior.After much research, I found companies offering a chlorine dioxide service, but then came across this product. The reviews, ease, and cost sold me and without fear of harm to the interior.Like ozone, I wanted to do the less approach and see the outcome as I could retreat without worry to the electronics and rubbers.The instructions state to park in shade, but that was not possible so I put blankets all over the car blocking out 100% of the sun. I future followed the instructions and used 2oz of warm water to 20 tablets. I put the water in a plastic cup that was 5" tall and put that cup in a plastic shoe box container in case of over foaming or spillage. I laid the back seats down to be able to treat the trunk area as well. Since the car was small, I placed the water container in the backseat on the floorboard. I then added the tablets and swiftly closed the door.After an hour, I grabbed my respirator, and opened the backseat, removed the container and then started the car putting the vents on recirculate to be sure I got it all. I let it run for 20 mins. Once the timer was up, put the respirator back on, turned the car off, all the windows open and let the car air out. The outside temp was hovering around 60 with a nice gentle breeze.The car has a smell of a pool. It's not strong at all. Just a faint smell that is refreshing in a sense. I'm pretty sure after a few days, the smell will be non-existent.I am so incredibly pleased with the outcome and I won't hesitate to use in other applications. I'll even consider a smoker car again since I now feel I can get the smell completely out.

I have an older house that can smell very musty due to the old (and I'm sure, moldy) ventilation system. On top of that, I also have a large, long haired dog--who owns the sofa, rug, dog bed, and every other soft surface in this house (if she had her way). So I'm always battling pervasive dog odor. I decided to try these tablets to see if they could mitigate some of the more unpleasant odors. I should mention that I have family coming in for Christmas, so I was very motivated to try new things! I set up everthing in the morning, and by the afternoon when I returned, the house had a strong smell of chlorine. I just open up the house, turned on the attic fan, and let it air out. It's late evening now, and the house just smells clean. I'll add more to this review in another week. I have high hopes that I've finally found something that can conquer dog/mold/old wool rugs... I did get a ventilator mask--this was absolutely essential!!! Since I was doing multiple rooms upstairs and down, I started at the farthest room and worked my way to the exit. Even going quickly, the fumes were faster. I can see that it would be very toxic to plants and pets. Give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

EDIT: The product is not faulty just because you didn’t use it correctly. If you used half a bag it makes absolutely no since to return to the area 20 minutes later. Also it’s gas. No closing a door won’t contain it. The package says let it work a few hours at minimum. Use it when you can leave the house for a few hours.I bought a house and the previous owner didn’t disclose they had a pet. Apparently it peed everywhere. The basement and an upstairs closet stank so bad. Especially when it gets hot. I cleaned, bleached, used enzymes primed the walls and nothing worked. The smell always came back.Anyway I found this followed the instructions and the smell is gone. Word to the wise. Use a mask unless you want to pass tf out. This stuff starts working instantly be ready to put it down and run. You will feel lightheaded if you breathe this stuff in. It’s strong af. I used it in the basement and could smell it all over my house when I came back a fews hour later. It smells like a swimming pool x100Only issue it took forever to arrive after ordering.TLDR; This works
