North American Rescue C-A-T Combat Application Tourniquet (Black) NAR Genuine Gen 7 CAT Gray Time-Stamped Military Issued (30-0001)

I was introduced to the North American Rescue series of products when I took my first "stop the bleed" training class years ago. I've continued to renew and update that training and North American Rescue still proves to be a solid brand among professionals. Basically, we use the cheap knock-offs for training and you can see a dramatic difference between those and the well made, sturdy tourniquets that North American Rescue puts out. The choice is very clear. The reality is, to effectively use a tourniquet when seconds count, you need to practice, practice, practice. Once you get the hang of it and set it up appropriately, it's easy to use and highly effective. Do not cheap out on your IFAK. I literally had one of the knock-offs snap during training (after only a few applications). It's worth the money to buy quality.

This is the only tourniquet (TQ) besides 1 other brand I’d trust my life with & CAT Tourniquets are the best & have been around for a while. Definitely have earned their reputation which is respectable. I carry one for work & travel. I bought the bright orange one so it stands out no matter what & to claim that it is mine. DO NOT BUY KNOCK OFF TOURNIQUETS!!! They’re good for training usage but not for real emergencies. Use what you have but spend the money on something that is reliable. Load it correctly & administer it properly! Also never use it to train with, it wears out the fibers & loosens up over time! Good bright color, durable, fits on different size people, functions flawlessly, best value for the money, good size, & can carry it wherever with easy of mind. Highly highly highly recommend this!

The most trusted tourniquet. Do not skimp on this lifesaving piece of equipment. This item is worth the cost. Put at least one in each first aid kit you have along with a sharpie to write the time you use it on the band.

Bought this for my home first aid kit and for a bug out bag. Right out of the box I was impressed. The packaging was clean and professional, and the it feels solid and well-crafted. Light and easily stored in my kit and bag. From the first use, everything worked exactly as described — reliable, intuitive, and effective. Excellent value for the price — you can tell this isn’t “cheap” quality. I’m happy to have made the purchase and would definitely recommend it to others.

Any items from NAR are top quality. Do not cheap out on medical supplies, a few bucks isn’t worth yours or someone else’s life. This TQ is large enough for someone with big legs and will not struggle to function

NAR makes the best stuff. Easy to use. Feels solid. Hope I never find out how well it works, but trying it out, it functions well.

Seems quality and kits nice in my aid kit. Hopefully never need to use it!

Genuine. Not a knockoff. Sad that I have to say it but there are quite a few fakes out there.
