Amazing speakers
I have a pair of these in the doors of my 89 vette, and then some pioneer 6x9s in the rear that are pretty old. These actually totally changed my sound, a million times better. I had a blown passenger door speaker so replaced with a pair of these - again, even thought it was just a pair of new 4" doors in an ampless, subless system - they improved the sound so much. My vette sound is better than my 10 speaker "premium" system in my civic.

High fidelity!
These replaced some 15 y\o JL Audio speakers. The larger magnets required a bit of trimming under the dash, but for the audio improvement it was WELL worth it!

Bass break in period with stock head unit.
Embarking on an audio journey with my 2017 Dodge Durango Citadel proved to be a quest for sonic perfection. It all started with a setback—a blown speaker 🔊. My search for an upgrade led me through various options, each unveiling a layer of the car audio experience.I initially opted for Pioneers, hoping to breathe new life into the audio system. However, the highs remained harsh, creating an imbalance in the overall sound. Undeterred, I exchanged them for Kenwoods, seeking a different sonic profile. Unfortunately, the Kenwoods fell short of expectations, with their own set of challenges, particularly in managing the high frequencies. The turning point in this quest was the introduction of the JBL GX962 speakers. Priced at an affordable 70 bucks, these speakers promised a refreshing audio experience. The decision to give them a shot was fueled by the desire to rectify the setbacks encountered with the previous choices. The journey didn't stop at the point of purchase. It unfolded over two weeks of dedicated play and various bass sweeps, revealing the true potential of the JBL GX962. The bass break-in period was transformative. What initially seemed like weak bass evolved into a rich, resonant depth that complemented the entire audio spectrum. The affordability of the JBL GX962 adds a practical dimension to the upgrade. At 70 bucks, these speakers present an accessible option for enthusiasts seeking improved audio quality without breaking the bank. It's a testament to the idea that a substantial sonic upgrade doesn't always demand a hefty investment. One notable feature of the JBL GX962 is its 2.3-ohm impedance. This characteristic enhances power delivery, contributing to a more robust and dynamic sound. The speakers, designed to replace the lower door front driver and passenger units, proved to be a perfect fit for my Dodge Durango Citadel.Contemplating the next phase of this audio evolution, I'm considering an aftermarket amp to further elevate the sonic experience. The pursuit of the ultimate symphony in my car audio setup has become a thrilling adventure, and the JBL GX962 serves as a crucial chapter in this narrative. From the setback of a blown speaker to the evolving soundscape of the GX962, my car audio journey has been transformative. It's not just about upgrading components; it's about crafting an audio experience that resonates with the rhythm of the road.Looking ahead, the plan is to enhance the experience even further. The Amp Pro interface is on the horizon, offering a bridge between the stock features and the potential unleashed by an aftermarket amp. The journey doesn't end there; a subwoofer is also on the radar, bringing the promise of a complete and immersive car audio experience. In summary, the 2017 Dodge Durango Citadel's audio upgrade has been a journey marked by setbacks, experimentation, and ultimately, transformation. The JBL GX962, with its affordability, bass break-in magic, and power-packed 2.3-ohm impedance, stands as a testament to the pursuit of audio excellence. From the initial setback of a blown speaker to the promise of an ultimate audio upgrade, the road ahead is filled with the sweet sound of possibility. 🚗🔊🎵 #CarAudioJourney #JBLGX962 #AudioEvolution #DodgeDurangoCitadel #UltimateAudioUpgradeAdventure"
