This is a great set for beginners and to practice! Has reusable, durable boards to practice on, plus tips and tricks! Great size for travel and easy to store! I love the overall look and feel too!

My wife wants to start making some creative cakes but wanted to find a way to practice without having to bake extra cakes. This item has helped. She puts icing in a piping bag and practices on the board. When done with practicing with one style, she can switch pages to another. All the pages come in a nice storage container that folds flat.

I’m a beginner and was looking for a way to practice without having to waste a lot of food or force feed my relatives dessert. This fit the bill! It’s very easy to use and clean. It’s sturdy, durable and lightweight. In order to prevent wasting frosting, I also use an icing scraper to scrape it off the practice board and into a bowl, then eventually back into my piping bag for more practice. I love the practice sheets, and they have really helped me improve my skills. I highly recommend this to any beginner.

I like this, but it could be much better. Having said that, you can make it “better” on-your-own quite easily. First, it should be noted that this practice board does not come with tips or bags. . . . or icing. Those must be purchased / made separately. Second, make sure you do not use a metal spatula to remove the icing from the board. It will scratch the board. You can use either a silicone type of spatula or plastic. Again. . . .not included. Here’s what I find “lacking”. . .. First, they use different tips on the same sheet. It would have been much better to use the same tip for all of the exercises on the same sheet. You don’t want to have to change tips. Second, the “practice” part is only once or perhaps twice. You should have an entire sheet of the same sort of practice so you can do it over and over to get proficient. Granted, you can do it over and over on-your-own. But an easy way to do this is to create your own practice sheets on your printer, so you can make rose after row. Either scan the included practice sheets. . . or take a picture. . . and then crop the picture. . . then paste it again and again on a page in Word and print it out. I like that this practice board will stand at an angel. Because the side of cakes are not “flat”, so you should practice on an angle. Made in China.

A fun and useful thing for beginners in cake decorations ;)

1st time ordered and return as the front part had alot of scratches. Ordered again and 2nd time having problem with my product. The front has scratches and the paper template is crumpled and torn at the corners. Does not look like a new piece.
