Easier to handle . . .
My Goody Heat Flash 1875 Watt hairdryer died . . . RIP. So going through the various hairdryers on Amazon and Berta has 5-star ratings. How could I go wrong? Well it is smaller an lighter than my old Goody which actually makes it easier to handle. I tried the highest heat setting which turns on the red light inside the dryer which I am assuming is the ionic part of it. I started out on the medium setting and went to high to see how it would perform. I normally always dry my hair at the medium/low setting (red light does not turn on at medium setting) and it didn't seem too loud to my ear and all in all I am pleased with the outcome and Berta.6/16/17 UPDATE: I find the red light a bit annoying as I am drying my hair. It is very bright and if I point towards my face and eyes, I need close my eyes. I would think that the ionic ceramic feature could be achieved without the red light (this is a gimmick, for sure). My Goody Heat flash had the same features (ionic, ceramic, tourmaline) and did not have any lights. After continued use, I think my Goody was better at drying my hair faster at a lower setting. Although I still find the Berta easier to handle as it is smaller and lighter.

GOAT...GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!
I can’t tell you exactly why this is the best hair dryer I’ve ever owned... but it is. My sister had it on her Christmas list, so I bought It for her. Mine died soon after, so without doing any research I bought one for myself. When I told her how much I loved it, she began gushing about hers. I figured she had done some kind of extensive research and chose it based on reviews...turns out it was completely random. I went back and bought two more just to have them on hand whenever the first one dies. I never want to use another hair dryer!!

This is a good blow dryer
I like it. I have fine hair. This does not blow too hard and the medium setting is not too hot. It is light weight (for a blow dryer) and easy to handle since its a little smaller. The IONs work really well. I get smooth hair. I also use Kenra blow dry lotion and a large boars hair/plastic round brush. This combination give my fine hair the control and frizz control I need in Houston, TX.

Dryer Heat
There is a lot I do like like about this product.PositiveThe weight and balance are excellent. The noise level is much better than most dryers that I have owned. The air power is perfect (when on high for me).Improvement NeededThe 1 and only reason that I had had to rate this product a 3 is the heat function.Even when the dryer is on high the heat is just warm.Since I have short hair I can still dry my hair in a reasonable amount of time but ladies with thick and or longer hair may fine this to be aconcern. When comparing the high on this product to a similar product I would rate this The HIGH setting would be equal to warm.

Didn't even last a year
1 week shy of owning this blow dryer for a year it completely died. When I first got the hair dryer, the attachment wouldn't stay in. And then, about 2 months after use, the red light inside (when on the high setting) died. I didn't bother returning or trashing because it still did an amazing job drying my hair. However, yesterday morning the hair dryer just had enough. It completely fried—smoke and everything :(If you're looking for a hair dryer with a longer shelf life, I wouldn't recommend this one...

I loved it when it worked
This is my 2nd Berta blow dryer. The first one was more expensive yet it was heavy . It lasted me about 18 months then the cord became loose and it would short out. I loved it when it worked. So I recently bought this one with infrared heat. It was less expensive, lighter weight and a pretty red! I've had it about 3 months at the most and my low blow setting is gone. I rarely use high setting as I find it more effective with the infrared heat setting and low blow setting. I'm pretty disappointed. When I am getting ready to go somewhere , I need to trust that my blow dryer of all things will work!!!!

Works well on smoothing and healthy hair!
I really, really love my Berta hair dryer! So much - I took it to my hair appointment to show my stylist. She had been commenting that my hair felt great and was in great condition. I have medium to fine strands, and as I aged it went from straight to more wavy - even frizzy. Never had that issue until my 40's. Tried every shampoo - smoothing, conditioning, etc. The infrared mode is nice and I do not have to iron as much. I alway use a good shampoo/conditioner. Most recently I have been using Rusk Calm line with my Berta. Happy hair days again!

Great hair dryer
My trusty hair dryer finally died after many years of use. I purchased a new one but was not happy with it at all. Very heavy and took forever to dry my hair. Saw good reviews for this one so went ahead and purchased. It was more $$ than the one I returned but well worth it. Dries my hair quickly and smoothly and is lightweight and attractive. I have not had problems with the controls as others have mentioned. I would purchase again.
