This book makes the process of tackling a fake book chart accessible and easy to understand. Great resource!

I think this is a great book that will be very useful with some of my students. I love the systemic approach and excellent exercises. That being said, many of the songs examples are specifically Christian and cannot be used with my non-Christian students. If it was just one song, this would not be a problem; however, it is prevalent throughout the book. I can still use it with other students but hope you would consider making a version with more non-Christian songs. Please consider including a list of songs in your description so that those who purchase are aware.

Great book for me! I have wanted to play the piano for years and finally decided to try. I am enjoying something new and this book really helps! I am using it every day and I am getting better all the time!

I took piano lessons for many years when I was young. My teacher at that time did not teach me chords and I always felt like I was missing something. I have started this book and it is giving me the information and practical lessons I was looking for.

excellent overiew for a range of levels

This is an amazing book for the piano student who wants to learn how to play his or her own arrangements. I have been playing piano my entire life and enjoy it most when I am not tied to a specific arrangement, but can play around with chords and notes. This book shows specifically how to do that gives detailed exercises and examples to grow and learn new techniques. The author has organized it very well so that you can move from level to level easily. There is a convenient chord speller at the end of the book which is a great reference!!! I'm working this book by myself, but it would be great to also work with any piano teacher as well for that added help and motivation. And all the songs in the book are classics so fun to play! A great resource!

This book is perfect for me! I am a bit older and mainly like to play for my own enjoyment. I don’t have much time to memorize long pieces note by note. This book has taught me how to create my own arrangement and have it sound great without hours of memorization. Additionally, I love to sing and it is helping me to learn how to accompany myself so I can sing or, play the melody. It has some great examples that I can play right away. I am loving this book. It was well written and very easy to follow. I highly recommend it!
