Rebel Vegan? More like REBEL VEGREAT!!!!
Now, long ago I decided to not listen to any nonsense that tried to tell me how to live my life, what food I should eat and what control underwear I should wear (looking at you Trinny and Susannah). Ever since Jamie Oliver came in and destroyed any semblance of fun we might have with turkey twizzlers and Gillian McKeith turned out not only to not be a doctor but also fainting-gate on I'm a Celeb. Best £2.50 I ever spent voting HER out. I just about managed to stomach Dr Christian Jensen but only because my husband says he always sees him out clubbing and they go to the same sauna - small world!Anyway, this book began by informing me about Veganism - from nutrition to it's contextual history and impact on the environment and the industry. The facts are presented in a clear and non-bias way allowing you to interpret them and chose what, where and how you want to start your journey. It includes creative and aesthetically pleasing photos - not only of the author but also those he has met on his travels. This was purchased for me as a gift and as a dedicated meat-eater I didn't expect to be this interested. I'm not particularly open-minded - it took me about two months to bear putting on Loose Women once they changed the line up - but this books philisophical and humanistic look at veganism opened up possibilities I didn't think possible. It helped me continue my Veg-anuary with it's delicious recipes and I'm keeping it close as I continue on my journey!!

This is a great little book, sure to please, perfect as a gift to a good friend.
I’m no avid reviewer, esp. on Amazon but I think the “Vegan Rebel”, books by Todd Sinclair could be this year’s Vegan “essentials” and I highly recommend them to both the vegan-curious and the more committed.I think the “Beginners Guide” has an easy informative style, excellent deign and layout, which IMO will greatly assist in guiding newcomers - glad I bought the book over the kindle. With a warm and enthusiastic style, this introduction to the lifestyle, covers all the major areas of concern, and more. The mix of style, content and layout rewards both methodical readers and those who prefer to dip in and out of their reads.Committed vegans won’t be disappointed, expect to find much of value in this nicely presented 250 page gem, rich in illustrations, realistic tasty recipes and useful tables & guides covering ingredients, foodstuffs, nutritional notes and more.Todd Sinclair’s extensive experience of veganism. combined with enviable travel experiences, enables him to offer much here which IMO simply can’t be found in established and often more narrowly focused (dare I say “stuffy”) books such as, “The Plant-Based Solution”, “Real Forbidden Fruit” and “Veganism for Beginners”.In this “Rebel” guide I particularly liked the parts with travel locations and activities, festivals and events, online groups, plus an upto date reading list, suggestions for documentaries and links to exclusive additional recipes for readers. This is a great little book, sure to please, perfect as a gift to a good friend.

Motivational & LIfe Changing Book!
I heard great things about the Rebel Vegan books, so I ordered the whole series to go fully plant-based and align with my values finally. And, although this is the second in the series, I got stuck into this one first.I felt drawn to its straightforward advice and the fantastic, flexible way the author supports everyone on their vegan journey. I never felt preached to or judged. I can honestly say that the chapter Four Steps To Vegan changed my life. My kitchen is, and always will be, cruelty-free!And the Eating In, Eating Out, Coming Out empowered me to go out into the world a proud, confident vegan! I have never felt healthier and more authentic. And the simple recipes are divine!

Clear-cut, pensive and proactive but without any sombre scaremongering or vegan militancy!
Refreshingly reposeful and clear-cut, pensive and proactive without any sombre scaremongering or stern vegan militancy, rife amongst preachy vegans; that guilt-tripping or force-feeding of facts in graphic language (usually making us feel bad for not being vegan, or not vegan enough), never inspired or influenced me! The book reminded me of the importance of mindset when going vegan. So pleased with myself for choosing this book as a gift for a friend (was perfect for her and her children).Written wonderfully with a pellucid simplicity, the book flowed nicely into each element with its tone affable and companionable; it's a solacing guide for those transitioning to veganism, newbie vegans, and those wishing to cut their meat consumption. Those who've struggled to stay vegan, those who need a boost or a sense of focus, those lacking motivation to be a healthier vegan could certainly benefit from the broad-gauging book.Encompassing a diverse spectrum of factors pragmatically and with compassion, the author deliberates upon thought-processing and mindset, elucidates macronutrient info and nutritional concerns, offers hearty recipe suggestions... and, I liked how he shared intimate accounts and personal portrayals of his experience growing up by farms, and veganism in other cultures whilst on his travels.

Highly recommend!!
After completing Todd's first book, I immediately ordered his second one 'A Plant-based nutrition and Beginner's Guide'. He brings together really useful nutritional advice with really helpful advice and tips about how to transform your life to a vegan one. He even has a 28-day transition plan with some yummy recipes. The book is really easy to read and follow, and is broken down into bite-sized chunks so you never feel overwhelmed with text - which I often find in some vegan books. It has some great quotes scattered through it too. I love the fact that in his books Todd acknowledges that everybody's vegan journey is unique to them and it's about taking one meal at a time and not beating yourself when things don't always go to plan. I highly recommend this book as I do his previous one. Money well spent!!

Great Book For All Things Vegan
This book on plant based nutrition is a must read. The author understands that we all have our own unique relationship with food, and this makes the book relatable. This book is going to show you how our diet and health are linked; tips for eating out; the weight loss angle in regards to veganism; diseases connected to eating meat; well thought out arguments for living a vegan life; eye opening photos; and tips for staying motivated. The visual aids provide another route to understand the author’s points. With many memorable quotes such as “At the core of veganism is compassion,” and well organized chapters, this book is going to assist you in your journey to being vegan. The author draws from his past experiences and makes this guide personal. He addresses the environmental factors involved with veganism; personal health issues; and social factors. He adds in the Covid connection, and then goes into all of the nutrients needed to be healthy, and breaks them down in an easy to read and understand fashion. The best part is the 4 week transition guide to veganism, broken down week by week, with menu guides, recipes, pantry lists, and handy foods lists. At the end of the book, you will find resources galore - this book is an incredible resource for all things vegan!

Great Guide for Beginners
This is a wonderful book for a beginner vegan. Non-judgemental and inclusive of of all who are just starting and bound to make mistakes. The author acknowledges that each one of us will have a different journey and that there isn’t only one way to lead a more plant based lifestyle. I really appreciate being included even though I am a true beginner. Thank you Todd Sinclair for sharing your passion without being preachy. Well done!

Sinclair Makes the Vegan Lifestyle Accessible
Sinclair writes about how the vegan lifestyle is essentially good for everyone: people, animals, plants and the planet. Using simple language, not seeking to make those of us with other dietary practices feel guilty or bad, he simply educates readers kindly. In this Second Edition, he emphasizes that the vegan lifestyle is a cruelty-free way of life, at least with regard to animals. With this lifestyle, vegans can enjoy good health, tasty food, and a guilt-free conscience with regard to animal products. Indeed a quote from the Dali Lama indicates that compassion is central to the practice.Even though I raise animals on my farm and still consume the eggs, my current partner is beyond being willing to butcher animals for meat, so I also don't practice butchering any longer. I appreciate Sinclair for all the work put into this edition, even if I don't necessarily agree with all of it.For example, I've been avoiding peanuts for reasons long forgotten and he recommends using them. In my experience, every diet or eating lifestyle has pros and cons. Sinclair's is well worth a try!
