An absolute tank in an EDC-friendly size
Let me say off the bat I have a lot of knives. Arguably too many knives. Spyderco, Kershaw, CRKT, Civivi, Gerber, SOG, Boker- pretty much every major brand but Benchmade. I have a few expensive and pretty knives but I prefer budget blades for heavy duty work. I'm more of a frequent user than a collector. I heard a few good things about Off-Grid and decided to give this one a shot. This baby was razor sharp out the box. I usually have to put a little elbow grease into a new knife with my Lansky but I cut my thumb just feeling the edge. It's a lot smaller than you think, and unless you have really tiny hands It's going to be a three or even two finger grip, but it punches way above its weight class. It cuts through cardboard like paper and paper like butter. I've used it pretty extensively for some light work around my home and my job for a month and it's holding up an edge and has zero blade play. It's small and light enough that you won't even remember it's in your pocket, but it has the reliability and fortitude of a much bigger and more expensive knife. I'm absolutely smitten with the Baby Rhino and will buy from Off-Grid again soon, probably the badger or a full sized Rhino next.

A Little Tank
The media could not be loaded. This is a tough, well-built little knife. Thick describes it best. The thick .125" blade stock is flat ground to a nice factory edge. Not "razor sharp", but adequate for opening boxes & such. The thick handle is a full 1/2" making it bit chunky. This is not a "gentlemen's carry." It does not disappear into dress pants. That said, it is not obtrusive in jeans or more casual trousers.Action is smooth & snappy with a well-tuned detent. It's only a three-finger grip but feels ok in the hand. No hot spots. There's generous gimping on the spine and flipper tab. The anodized blade, clip and hardware look fantastic with subtle branding.Disassembly is easy with steel T8 screws for the pivot and scales. T6 for the clip. For once, the pivot and bearings were not drenched in cheap oil. Cleaning, relube and tune was really not necessary. This guy is ready to go out of the box. This knife is a bit heavy for its size at 3.2oz (91g) but not excessive. There is some skeletonization on one liner. The steel deep-carry clip is reversable for left or right tip-up carry. Overall, he heft gives it a feeling of durability.G10 scales are nicely textured and combined with the wide handle, compensate somewhat for the small grip. I find it a joy to use and carry.Fit and finish are top notch. Made by Bestech, this is one of the nicer USA-designed, Chinese manufactured EDC's I've handled. Highly recommended.

Beefy little guy
I was looking for a knife to use at work that was a bit more compact and not as valuable as the usual M4/Cruwear/M390 knives I usually use, since my job is demanding on my tools. I nabbed this small knife on sale, and I am impressed! My huge mitts can still get a 3-½ grip on it, and it's wide enough to really fill in the hand. The thick G10 scales and steel liners will protect it from drops and other damage, and the thick blade cuts easily. The spine jimping is fantastic; it allows your thumb to sit lower for more powerful cuts through rubber and wire, while choking up on the blade will help with precision cuts through foil without slicing up delicate wires. The fit and finish are great; blade is centered and the flipper action was perfectly tuned out of the box. The little attention to detail like naming Sandvik next to the steel designation is a neat little touch and helps flaunt the knife's Swedish steel pedigree. If there's one downside, it's the price. You can get folders with the same steel for much cheaper, but they're not built like a tank and most don't come with lifetime warranties. If you want a folder that will last a lifetime, pick one of these up.

Nice compact edc knife
I bought this knife for edc on a trip to Boston. Since they have blade length limitations there I purchased this knife to be in compliance. But I have to say, after receiving this knife, I might just make it my go to edc knife. For it's size, it has a little bit of weight to it, which I like. And the flipper...oh man...don't get me started talking about that, I played with it for a couple hours after I received it. I have large (thick) hands and the handle felt really good and secure in my hands. That is the part I was most concerned about. Ya, it's a small short knife with a short handle, but the grip and feel were good.Blade came nice and sharp, seems pretty well put together. No play in the blade and the lock out was solid too. If I had to knock it and I was being very critical, I would say that the pocket clip was very strong. That may be a good thing in your books, but I would prefer it a little more flexible.Overall, love the knife and will look into what else they have to offer.
