SOLID HANDLE, BUT FRAGILE BLADES
The handle is made Very Solid and is built to last.Blades are Fragile and will Bend and even Break with any pressure from the sides. The Blades are also Tricky to get on just right. Requiring pliers of any sort. I Cracked the first blade trying to get it attached to the handle.Initially these are very sharp but dull very quicklyThis Scalpel Is Mediocre and I Wouldn't Buy Again, And Probably Won't Be Buying More Blades For It.

Dull!!
Needed some replacement scalpels for my lab. Ordered these due to the quick shipping option. They arrived on time, but it was a battle getting the blade installed on the handle. Had to use needle nose pliers to get the blade to sit. I have had that happen before, so no biggie. Next task was to extract a fungal sample from the skin of a tomato. I had to use a sawing motion to get the blade to cut tomato skin! Due to this failure, I used an age old test, shaving a few hairs from the back of my hand. The scalpel blade WOULD NOT shave any hair. Scalpel blades are used for precise cutting, which sadly these blades are not capable of.

Not sharp
I ordered these on the recommendation of a vet for lancing my dog’s ear hematoma. I was surprised my how hard I needed to push to break the skin. At first I thought maybe I just wasn’t experienced enough to know how much pressure to use or the first blade may have been a dud, but after watching a bunch of videos of it being done and switching blades I came to the conclusion they were just dull. Ended up ordering blades with a pointy end that worked much better.

Blades didn’t fit into the handle. I needed to do some filling.
Cheap. The spot in the handle for the blade was too tight for the blade to slip into the lock position. I had to file down the grove to get the blade in. Not a lot of effort, but I should have bought one a bit more expensive to having to fix a new product. Blades weren’t very sharp but good enough to do the job. Next time, I’ll just buy some safety razer blades.

Excellent and sharp!
Use this to cut pet skin if you need to. Your dog might get a hematoma from a bite, or you may have a splinter in your hand, or have to bust a boil, or such. Useful sharp scalpel to have around the home pharmacy. Also use for art work or DIY jobs such as sewing seam ripper. Sharpest seam ripper there is!

used for dermaplaning.
these do not fit a standard handle, but it does come with a handle that the blades fit.but the blades.... garbage. i’ve been using 2-3 on my dermaplaning clients. normally, one will do the job.

Cheap, cheap , cheap!!! But works.
I don’t think these a superb or anything. The construction is basement quality at best but they do work.I literally installed the blade incorrectly and it still worked. As far as the thickness is concerned.....who cares? For my hand size it didn’t seem bulky or flimsy. The blades themselves were sharp enough to cut though gelatin. Not sure if that’s terribly helpful to anyone else 🤷♂️

Dull blades are DANGEROUS
I purchased these to perform piglet castrations and I'll cut right to the chase... don't buy them. They will not perform as described nor intended. I attempted a castration and it caused unnecssary harm to the piglet by having to make multiple cuts at different angles in order to access the testicles. The internal membrane also needed to be cut and these blades simply could not cut internal tissue. The whole time I'm doing this I'm cursing this china BS and how I failed to obtain the proper instruments for the task at hand. DO NOT BUY.
