We picked up these hinges to replace the 60+ year old original hinges on my wife’s childhood toy box. We were happy to find an exact replacement that looks good and works well. After multiple generations, the box, that was made by my wife’s grandfather, had begun to succumb to the ravages of kids and time. While the hinges did not come with screws—a bit of a sticking point for me when the item costs around twenty bucks, we simply reused the screws from the original hinges. Once you make it past the price, these are great pieces of hardware and have restored a cherished item from my wife’s childhood. We highly recommend these hinges— just don’t forget to order screws, too!

Hinge materiel is very solid and will support significant load. Make sure you think thru how you intend to use them, perhaps even going so far as to make a pattern out of heavy cardboard to make sure they will fold up the way you want them to.
