Review of Dexshell Socks: A Trail Race Companion
Dexshell socks proved to be an exceptional choice during a grueling 100-mile trail race marked by relentless rain and muddy conditions. My experience wearing these socks for 36 hours was nothing short of remarkable. For the entirety of the race, the weather was unyielding—constant rain transformed the trails into a mix of water and mud several inches deep. Despite these challenging conditions, the Dexshell socks excelled in keeping my feet dry. Their waterproof design acted as an effective barrier against external moisture while maintaining breathability for comfort over extended wear. When I finally removed the socks, I was genuinely astonished to find that my feet were completely dry and no blisters. Based on this experience, I wholeheartedly recommend these socks to anyone facing extreme weather conditions, whether for trail racing, hiking, or other outdoor adventures. I am confident in their ability to perform consistently and plan to purchase them again for future events.

These work!
I take my doberman to a sometimes swampy dog park early each morning before the sun rises. These socks do the trick! They truely keep the moisture out. I have size 11 feet with a high instep and the large size fits well. My tennis shoes fit over them with no problem. I used them each morning for a week before hand washing. Expensive but high quality.

Great for our day hike!
I am a women and wear a size 8 shoe. I bought the size large, though I meant to buy a size medium. I recently bought these socks because I am going on a hiking trip up to Boundary Waters and it involves canoeing and portaging, which involves walking in water. I wanted something that could cushion my feet to prevent blisters when we are hiking, and also keep my feet comfortable and dry. I had asked a question before buying to see if these were good for hiking, and the only person who answered had written a 1 star review for the socks saying they were worthless. The other reviews seemed good, so I decided to give them a try anyway. I'm so glad I did! Like I said, I ordered a size too large than I should have, but I decided to take them on a practice hike anyway. My friends and I went to a local state park and hiked for about 3 hours, covering over 4.5 miles up and down hills, and also trudging a LOT through creeks and shallow rivers. I have to say, I was really impressed by the socks. They kept my feet dry and comfortable, and I didn't develop a SINGLE blister. The day high was about 85 degrees, and the socks weren't too hot for the hike. The socks also covered my lower legs/ankles well, making it easy to walk through the brush. However, if you step in water that goes above the sock level, water WILL get in the sock, and once it's in, it can't really get out. However, my feet were still comfortable and I didn't even know there was water in the sock until our hike was over. I would recommend these socks! I am actually going to order a longer pair in the correct size, but I'm keeping these ones to give to my fiance (who is a size 12). Overall, good product!

These do work
These are great! My hiking shoes have stopped being fully waterproof, even though I tried to treat them with a waterproofing spray. On really wet or dewy mornings, these socks have solved my problem! They make my shoes a little tight, but it’s worth it not to have wet feet.

Backcountry Tested
Bought these for a Wilderness Canoe Trip through Quetico Provincial Park. My group mates made fun of them at first but by the end of the trip, were jealous of them. Kept my feet nice and warm/dry in the freezing rain. Everyone else had rubber boots that wouldn't dry. Me, slipped these on and it didn't matter the rubber boots were wet inside. My feet were nice and dry. Held up well in wilderness conditions for over a week and now use them around hte house and hunting. It's only a plus that they are comfortable as well. Would buy again.

Dry feet equals happy hikers
These actually worked better than expected for us. We had a hiking trip that crossed multiple streams and at the end of the day, our feet were dry! I cant say the same for the shoes but the socks worked wonderfully.

33 days and a big ol’ hole
It’s day 33 and as I’m changing my socks….. this this is what I get for a $20 pair of socks. That is a $10 sock thats toast. Oh and guess what I actually read the care instructions for these and there’s still a big ‘ol hole right in the heel. And I haven’t even been doing anything bad in these. Most I did was replace a railing last week this is so so so incredibly frustrating. Thats a lot of money for waterproof socks that last 1 single f’ing month. I’m sorry but this is total BS and I think I deserve either a new pair if this was some kind of fluke or I want my damn money back.
D**!
You at least need to own one pair of these socks!!!
I thought this was BS But they’re actually waterproof 100% I know they’re a little bit expensive but they’re definitely worth buying! So far, I only bought one pair in my coming checks I will be buying more
