Maxell Safe Soundz Overear Headphones (Black)

Good for little heads. Pretty durable but the ear covers keep coming off!!!! Pain in the you know what to try and get them back on. Why?

We've gotten two pairs of these for our son (cat chewed through the first pair's cord), and plan to get an extra for school. They fit my 6-year-old very well, and they don't have the problem that most children's headphones have with the sound limitation being... well, too limiting. We've tried other pairs, particularly for the computer lab at school, and the sound limitations mean that if there's too much background noise he just can't hear anything. These are definitely a great for kids.

These are OK. I bought them for my 9 yo son for Christmas. A little on the cheap side, but you get what you pay for. Another family member ended up getting him fancy Bluetooth Headphones which he loves. The Bluuetooth headphones are so much better, because they are wireless, but of course much more expensive.

I ordered two sets of these headphones to pair up with the Kid's Edition Kindle Fires Santa brought my girls for Christmas. Here I am less than a year later writing this review because both headphones are broken. But before I get to the details of the break, I will tell you my pre-break impressions.Because my kids like to use their Kindle Fires at the same time, they're often bickering over the other's device being too loud. Headphones to the rescue. I wanted to get some that didn't break the bank, but would be good for my kids, which is why I ordered these. The sound quality is decent, and they don't get loud enough to damage hearing. However, the first time we used them my kids both complained that they hurt their ears, and this was only after fifteen minutes of use. After that initial encounter they were loath to wear the headsets at all. I would have given them a two-star review based on that.This summer we went on a vacation and we brought the headphones in an attempt to preserve the sanity of my wife and I in the car. After one day of heavy use, my daughter starts complaining that the sound on her Kindle Fire isn't working anymore. Upon inspection, I discovered that the tip of the male headphone jack broke off inside the headphone jack of my kid's Kindle Fire. It's not the entire jack, just the last segment. The Kindle thinks there is a set of headphones attached, so it doesn't play sound through the built-in speaker anymore and you can't insert any other headphones now.Fast-forward to November. My other daughter was using her Kindle Fire as a story-reading device and she starts yelling for me. I go to see what the issue is and the same thing happened to her Kindle Fire! So now I'm sitting here writing this review. Thankfully the Kid's Edition Kindle Fires have a no questions asked two year replacement warranty.

The sound is faint, kinda hard for kids to hear over road noise or an open window. Plus one of the pads off the earpiece already came off and had to be repaired, they have only been worn 3 times. Should have spent more and bought quality.

Could be a bit more destructive kid friendly. Wire pulled out of one side within the first week of owning them. My 9 year old really isn't that destructive but he accidentally got the cord pulled resulting in the break.

These are very nice. They are light and comfortable. They have padding on the ears. The ears are kind of small which is perfect for kids and most teenagers. The colors are very nice too. The sound quality is average not the best in the world but still good. They are not really great quality but they will last if taken care of.
