Harmony Kayak Cockpit Cover - Universal Fit for Single Seat Kayaks - Kayak Storage Cover

I recently picked up two Perception Prodigy XS's for my kids (32" x 18"). I have built a shelter outside to keep my boats out of the sun and added these to the fleet. Well not long ago I was walking past the boats and noticed the kids had filled my daughters boat with leaves and sticks. I was frustrated but the family was out of town so didn't have the chance to address it with them. The next day I was walking by to take the trash out early in the morning when a bird flew out of the kayak very upset with me. So a bird had decided to make a nest in the nose of the kayak out of the elements. Very few people even have the Prodigy XS listed in the choices and it's a very scaled down boat which is perfect for the kids. I called harmony with the dimensions of the cockpit and they said this one would work fine and it did. The bungie cord that runs around the outside can be pulled tighter and another knot tied in it to snug this up to the smaller cockpit. You can't even tell it's a little over sized as it doesn't gather much at all. When we take the boats out I take this off. I don't want to loose it during transport. Great little cover. I'm also glad I didn't chew the kids out about filling the boat with leaves!

The bungee cord came untied and was lost the first time it was used. Harmony used to be very good - but now it’s just poorly made crap.

This cockpit cover will keep out dirt, rain, and leaves, but it won't do anything to stop spiders and insects from making their home in your kayak. It's very loose-fitting, adjusted by a pull string. If you're fortunate enough to live in an area w/o many spiders and roaches, it'll probably work fine for you. If you want to keep these little guys out, get a better-sealed cover. I hate paddling down the river with my spray skirt on only to feel something crawling up my leg. Not fun.

Bought this size cover (32/18) hoping it would fit my daughter's Heron Jr., and it did. Last thing I wanted was to have some spider crawl out while she was out on the water. Had to adjust the shock cord knot out a bit but it works fine and keeps the bugs out.
