He is often seen in front of his booth demonstrating his craft for the public, eager to share his knowledge with the crowd. As he begins to bend the willow branch into the hoop, he starts to tell a story that has been passed down through the ages.The significance of the hoop in native history and the legend of the dreamcatcher. This dreamcatcher is H 26" x W 16". The measurement is determined by the longest distance from top to bottom. And the width is the distance from side to side. The dreamcatcher starts with a branch of red willow bent into the shape of a hoop, adorned with authentic materials from nature. The center of the hoop is tied into a web with sinew and a series of knots. They are then decorated with feathers from a variety of game birds and farm raised birds, such as turkey, pheasant, ducks and chickens. Semi-precious stones, shells, strips of leather and beads are placed throughout the dreamcatcher, creating a unique and one of a kind piece of art. A crystal eagle is hanging in the center. Notice the great care that is taken to find feathers that match shape and size to create a balance to the art.
