Safari Ltd. Medusa Figurine - Hand-Painted 4.25" Mythical Gorgon Figure - Fun Educational Toy for Boys, Girls & Kids Age 3+

Gave it to my daughter for her birthday. She really loves it.

Before the 1980's movie "Clash of the Titans" Medusa was allways portrayed with a human body or more like a Gargoyles body complete with bat like wings. Harryhausen was the first to portray her as having a snakes body & this is how Safari has chosen to portray her and they have done a awesome job!! The detail that Safari has put into there Mythical Realms figures are second to none!! Medusa stands 4.5 inches tall counting the highest point of her snake filled head a beautiful detailed bronze currase covers her waist where the snake fuses with human her waist flares looking much like a cobra's hood! The scales of her body are so detailed you can even see a center ridge on each inavidual scale. My wife has a snake phobia and she can not stomache looking at this figurine if that gives you any idea of the great detail that the sculpters & painters have put into this figure! If your a fan of greek mythology or sword & sorcery or Ray Harryhausen this is a must have figure, the detail that is put into all of Safari's figurines make me reluctant to call them toy's allthough they are sturdy enough to let the kids have a go at them I use them to decorate my flat spaces like others collect humming birds or dolphins I collect sword & sorcery figures. And you would be amazed at how many adult friends & famely tell me how much they like the mlittle diaramas set up around the house. I think no matter how old you are the amount of detail put into this figures never fail to ignite a persons imagination. Alot of people collect certain animals very few people have a full blown midevil battle on there entertainment center or wizards and mutants on there shelves.

It was a gift to a friend. The one I really like was almost $900.00. Way too much for my pocket. It's tiny you can hide it behind a cup of coffee. The figurine did not come in a box or it's own package. It was tossed into package with my curtain. As I open package it fell on to table. Wow! totally disrespecting medusa figurine. Note: when did medusa's body become a snake ? she had a woman body and snakes in her hair. I understood her turning men to stone. when did her body to a snake!!!?.

I ordered the Dragon Man at the same time as the Papo Medusa. They got here quickly and were in top condition. The paint on the Dragon Man is incredible! The picture doesn't do him justice! The battle ax and sword are both removable witch is nice but be careful with his jaw. It seems like it might come off if opened to hard or to wide. The Medusa is also fantastic I'm pleased to say! Her snake hair and coiled body look so life-like! I will most certainly buy from Papo again!

The picture is off a bit there is some paint on the forehead so for 14 dollars it was decent.

Nice small statue with fine attention to detail in the painting. Sturdy and makes a good showpiece for any display or use with Dungeons & Dragons!

A mythical Medusa really looks as if she could turn a viewer to stone because of fear. She is very scary looking. The snake tail is great the way it is designed. It's hard to see a division from human to reptilian being. It has great features from her hands and the snake hair also to the way she must slither along as a snake does.My grandson calls her a snake-woman mutant. I guess she reminds him of the other mutant warriors we have.She is a nice addition to my collection, whether a mutant or a mythical figurine.

Ottima riproduzione di medusa. È una riproduzione perfetta. L'unica pecca sono le sue dimensioni piccole. Se la trovassi con dimensioni maggiori,sarebbe davvero straordinaria.

Esta es una buena figura, tal vez los detalles en el rostro se podrían mejorar, pero es muy recomendable, el servicio de entrega es execelente
