A Decent Reproduction: You'd never know unless you tried the real thing!
TLDR: If you're looking for a pair of boots for life, these ain't those. These are excellent reproductions though, and at the price point (I paid $113) an excellent value for the quality of materials and workmanship, reproduction or not (more on that later). I gave 5 stars because these are very decent boots at a very decent price.Rothco has a niche in their reproduction boot offerings: They cost a little more than similar reproductions, but are much higher quality. Superior (US made) boots will cost 2-5x as much as the Rothco boot ... but are also of higher quality than the Rothco boot. It is *personal preference* whether the US made boots are WORTH the premium price. These jump boots are very inexpensive compared to the US made 'Paratrooper' Jump Boots, but check off most of the 'boxes' of the US-made boots. Brass nails, storm welt, replaceable heel and sole, steel shank, spit-shineable durable leather, all [check]. Even upon close inspection they very much look like Corcoran/HH Brown/ etc. jump boots. The *weight difference* between the Rothco and the 'original' is astonishing though - for me, the weight means thicker and more durable construction/materials. For those that don't plan on invading Europe by air, the extra weight might just be extra weight. My Rothco jump boots were about a half-size larger than the same-size Corcoran 975 and 1550 Jump Boots (so *not* the Munson last), and maybe because boots of this type of construction need time, effort, and use to form-fit around the feet. One could wear the Rothco boots immediately. One cannot wear Corcoran 'new boots' and walk extensively without being a masochist.

These are a size 10 but too big for me
These are supposed to be a size 10, but they're really big. Feels more like an 11 but really narrow. Might try a different size in the future but will be returning these today.

Damn fine boots
These are some of the best boots of this type I have ever come across. For context these would be the 9th or 10th pair I have bought over the years.

A pain to break in
I’ve had the rothco jump boots now for about 2 months and they’re more comfortable and durable than my Bate’s jump boots. It took about 3 12 hour shifts to break in though and they hurt but all worth it. All I added were some cheap insoles and they’re great.
