I just ordered my second batch of mr16 and 3 of them will not light up. the fixtures are good. anything i should try before returning?

Hello, there is almost no case that this product does not work. I suggest you try to put these three lights in the position of other normal lights to ensure that it is not affected by the working environment. If it is still not lit, it may be caused by damage in the logistics process, and you can ask amazon to replace it.

I plan to use these inside my landscape lighting in the backyard and have 18 total uplights/pathlights. Can all 18 be controlled with one remote?

I hope this is being entered in or within the correct answer box, I ordered this item accidentally not knowing what it did, but have since grown to use them, I have 10 others, and so long as the modules that they are connected to for power they do work rather well, however if there is anything blocking the reciever on the light, such as plants, or the light you are housing it within, then you have to get it as a more direct path for the light signal from the remote, but yes one remote works alright with all of the lights but the lights are not for myself mind you they are for others that come to visit me and I use them to light and or llluminate the driveway, and the sidewalk to my front porch, and also to direct people down the path(s) in my back yard so they don't go a miss while navigating the darker recesses of my yard. mostly because I am blind and so my significat other assists me in them. the 4 watt spot lights direct the plain soft white light that can be any brightness within the 4watt limits, and since they are multicolored too I have ones that signify blue for where the water faucets are in the back yard, red for any power outlets for electricity and or USB connectors for charging phones or connecting to the backyard speaker system, and white for the main pathways. the gates are signified by green lamps and for the house entrances. but all are controlled via one remote unit and I can have someone use the remote to brighten all at once or dime all at once if necessary, and all are connected to photocells so they shut off during light or daylight time.
