Winsor & Newton Sansodor Low Odor Solvent, 250ml (8.4-oz) Bottle

This thinner fits the bill if you want to do painting with other people around. My wife is very sensitive to strong chemical smells and I use this while she’s sitting next to me with no problem. Great product!

Didn’t really touch old varnish but did clean off grime without damaging paint finish on an old painting.

The lid was loose and product leaked inside packaging. Love the product but unfortunately lost a third of it this order due to lid.

When I opened the soft sided package, the bottle was empty with a lingering smell of thinner in the bag. The bottle is plastic and was not sealed properly all the thinner had leaked out. The bottle should have had one of those seals under the cap to ensure no leakage.

It's just mineral spirits otherwise known as paint thinner. It should not be labeled as a solvent. It should be labeled what it is which is mineral spirits or paint thinner.

Overpriced. I am curious why it is so expensive.

I used to coat a large (2 ft x 6 ft) oil painting on linen. It was very nice. Protection yet not glossy.

I use this to clean my brushes when I oil paint and it does its job wonderfully. Highly reccomend. I don't even smell anything!
