Sensible design, written instructions weren't needed, just study the drawings a bit. I'm 72 and had no problems. I did the tighten/loosen/tighten thing a couple of times because I was working alone and needed it to stand up until I got the other end snugged up. I plan to up the weather-proofing to withstand Missouri winters, but you call it as you see it with that issue. I also bout a heater for the inside. At some point in the future I will add a doggie door on the end opposite the main hatch so the fur babies won't be captive to some big hairy thing trying to get in. If you have small animals I suggest a horizontal bar to reduce the size of any invaders that can get in with them.

I purchased this item for my 30 yr old tortoise, Joe. Being cold blooded, and now living in an area with frosty fall and winter mornings, he needed a warmer sleeping arrangement. This dog house fit our needs with just minor adjustments. I added an access ramp for him out of a piece of scrap plywood with a couple of bricks wedged under the top edge. He had his doubts at 1st, but on day 3 the temperature dropped and he put himself to bed. Before it really gets cold, I'll pack some alfalfa hay in there, for extra warmth, and an occasional snack, for his mostly hibernation winter mode.

We received the item with minor damage. When trying to communicate with seller he was rude and completely impossible to work with. He told me he was reporting me to the fraud department. The dog house is amazing, if you can buy from another seller I would.

The ad lies about what you are purchasing. the floor panels are supported by two flimsy strips of wood. Not the metal base that is shown in the product photos and detailed description. I want to return this item or receive a substantial reduction in the charge.None of the wood is weather treated and is not suitable for out door use. The color/paint on the wooden parts is thin and does not properly seal the wood from moisture. The wood is thin and light weight and any large dog is going to chew it up in no time. Amazon should remove the product and the supplier from their product offerings.

I bought this hoping for a more sturdy product then the other items on Amazon. It was okay, but still very cheaply made. We still haven’t been able to get the roof attached. Directions were useless. Been trying for about 10 hours at this point… I have a background in construction so this would not be recommended.

We got this house for our Sulcata Tortoise. She had to have waterproof, insulated housing for the cold weather. This house was the perfect solution. We added a thermostatic controlled heater and the door flaps included with the house held the heat in very well. EXTREMELY pleased with this purchase!!!

A nice looking dog house however your description is completely off! We purchased this for our German Shepard and it is not even close to being big enough! Your biggest size of which we purchased would be good for miniature size dogs .

I took a chance on this product as reviews pointed to a bad relationship between suppliers and customers with regard to damage, so you can imagine my dismay when the courier unloaded a damaged battered cardboard box I explained that unless the package was opened and inspected I would not accept it the courier was 100% and took time out of his very busy day to assist me and as it turned out everything was fine. Only 4 stars for assembly as the hinges could be clearer it was no problem for me as I am a joiner but could be a bit clearer for self assembly.

Prodotto arrivato come da programma,la scatola presentava un angolo rotto e quindi è stato ritirato con riserva,lo scorso fine settimana ci siamo dedicati al montaggio e abbiamo trovato pezzi danneggiati ,non sappiamo se imputare al trasporto o agli assemblatori delle parti ,il fatto è che come potrete vedere dalle foto la nostra casetta del cane ha un livello qualitativo basso.

The build quality is extremely poor. There is damage from manufacture that was simply wrapped up and passed onto muggins me.The wood is NOT pressure treated making this a 1 or 2 year item before it rots away. The stain is laughably thin as to be ineffective. It is very overpriced for what you get. The plastic door does not hang over the edge meaning water will simply run down and into the kennel. All of the panels and floor support are very thin. The roof sidings were not connected properly. I would send it back but couldn't be bothered with the hassle. Avoid Pets Imperial chinese products at all costs as it looks like it will last 2 years if you are lucky.

I expected better - finish isn’t great either looks cheaply painted rather then the grey I expectedThe roof isn’t the strongest and can’t say it’s weatherproof as we haven’t gone through the winter yet
