Tastes like regular coffee, too dark for me personally. Flavors not obvious to me though.

The coffee smelled good but was not in powder form. Was a solid flat shard that did not dissolve and stuck to bottom of mug.

A serviceable cup -- will satisfy many people, but not the most discriminating coffee snobs. No mess cleanup makes it a very good choice for camping and other situations where avoiding dishwashing is desired. I would be interested in learning about the shelf life behavior of the sealed envelopes.

I had high hopes, because it was expensive. But it leaves a sour taste in your mouth, like many, cheaper instant coffees. Also very acidic.

Great product

I am a coffee snob, and I've tried at least twenty differnt brands of instant coffee over the years. Verve is one of the best I've had. I like dark roast the most, and theirs is great. I bought this for a backpacking trip, and it was a hit with everyone. I'd love to drink it every day at home, but at $3 per packet, it's just too expensive to justify drinking it on the regular.

I was excited to treat myself to this coffee while traveling, but was dismayed on day one of my trip when I opened the first packet and the granules were one very hard, stale, solid mass. It took aggressive stirring to get it to dissolve in hot water and was very bitter. Every other packet is the same. I would absolutely be returning and requesting a refund, but Amazon does not offer that option for this product.
