What materials is this made of?

It’s made of hard plastic, it works very well. It’s handy as I no longer need to have the soap bottle sitting on my sink counter. I’ve been using this for several months now and I ❤️ it. It makes my sink look more organized. The only thing I don’t like it’s that it went up on price 😡 I need to buy an extra one and they're $11.99 now, a dollar more.

With the improvements will the color stay? I purchased this a year ago and after a few months the color came off and it just looks gross now…

You’re right, over time the color (got the silver one) will fade, but honestly doesn’t look too bad. The improved one seems to handle this issue, but to be safe I would get the matte white.

would this work well with silicone or natural, eco friendly sponges?

I actually just bought silicone sponges. Works just fine. I use my washrag as well.
